Coast Guard Charleston Housing Information

Coast Guard Charleston (CG) Housing and Information:

Location: The Coast Guard Charleston Base is located at 196 Tradd Street, Charleston, SC 29401, at the southern-most tip of Charleston, SC. 

The Base is located in the Southern most part of the city. Historic Charleston surrounds the waterfront area in which the Base is situated. Charleston is a seagoing port with access to both the Ashley and Cooper Rivers. This leaves the Base in an ideal position for many seagoing missions as well as a variety of shore based activities.

Coast Guard Charleston Housing: Military housing is not available directly at the Coast Guard Charleston Base, however, military privatized housing is available at Joint Base Charleston in Goose Creek, about a 30 minute drive north of Coast Guard Charleston. Housing is managed through two privatized companies,  Balfour Beatty Communities - (843) 797-5631 or Hunt Military Communities - (843) 552-0600.
