This is a great wide trail that loops the lake. If you run around the Lake it is about 6 miles. The terrain is curvy and has some small dips, but is paved and wide.
Mission Beach (Boardwalk)
From Belmont Park to Pacific Beach Pier is around 3 miles. It is nice and flat and along the beach on the boardwalk. There are restrooms, outdoor showers and plenty of things to do (and eat) after your run!
Sea Diego River run/bike path
This path connects to about 20 miles of paths around Mission Bay. The path itself starts around Dog Beach in Ocean Beach and continues into Old Towne. It’s scenic along the river, where you can see an abundant of birds and fish jumping.
Fiesta Island
Start at Tecolote Shores and run a loop around the island, and it’s 5K (3.2). There is bicycle traffic and car traffic, so be careful. But it’s a nice flat run.
Balboa Park
Balboa Park is a great place to run! If you start out on the corner of 6th and Thorn, follow the paths to the big fountain and back it’s about 4 miles.
