3 Palms Zoo 1

This is not your typical zoo. There are no lions, giraffes, or elephants. 3 Palms is a non-profit rescue center. They have exotic, wild, domestic, and agricultural animals. Their environment is completely natural woodland. They help to rehab wildlife, educate the public, and they house non-releasable wild animals. There is a small donation to enter and they give you a huge handful of bamboo to feed the animals. There are ducks and geese walking around freely. There is even a large Mother Goose type of goose who can be a littler forceful if you have bamboo and don't give him any. This is not the place to dress the kids up nicely at. It's dirt and trees and sometimes mud. It's not very large, so don't plan an entire day around it. The people here are very nice, are open to answer any question you have, and genuinely care for the animals. I even called them about an injured bird I found. They allowed me to bring it right to them, housed it for 24 hours and arranged for a wildlife rehab organization to pick it up to evaluate and release it.
