Gulf Breeze Zoo 1

The Gulf Breeze Zoo is a great medium sized zoo. Many of the exhibits are open and well maintained. They have lions, tigers, giraffes, lowland gorillas, kangaroos, camels, and many other animals. My kids love that we can purchase cups of food to hand feed a variety of animals, including the giraffes. Additionally, seed sticks are for sale separately to feed the small budgie birds in the aviary. Although, there are walkways in the newer exhibits, a train ride provides the best vantage point and allows you a front row seat to see some of the great animals (rhinos, hippos, wildebeest, and gorillas) up close. Train tickets are extra, but definitely worth it. They do offer a military discount and annual passes.

Tip: Parking is free and close to the entrance. The concession area is a bit pricey, but you can always pack items and go out to the car for your own beverages and snacks.
