- Services: Sons of the Flag is a nonprofit committed to supporting military, first responders, and civilian burn survivors through research, technology, and education. Ryan “Birdman” Parrott enlisted in the Navy after watching the Twin Towers fall on 9/11, and Parrott served eight years as a U.S. Navy SEAL attached to Team SEVEN, completing three combat tours to Iraq before being assigned to Advanced Training Command as an Instructor. During his time in Iraq, he was badly burned and started searching for better answers for burn victims. Ryan sought out physicians, medical professionals, civilian burn survivors as well as fire-fighters and paramedics, seeking to understand how burn treatment could be improved. In 2012, Ryan established Sons of the Flag to help burn survivors and their families find the help and medical attention that they deserve.

I highly recommend you check out this nonprofit. Ryan Parrot, the founder, is a former Navy SEAL and a great guy. After suffering from his own experience with burns, he quickly found out that there was a need for more education, technology, and advances in treatment for burns. I hope you support my friend and his non-profit!
