Herons Forest is awesome, lots of other military families live there! It's a very family friendly and tight knit neighborhood.Community pool, tennis courts, close to base and we have beach access. Super fun neighborhood! My kids go to Helen Caro elementary and we are very happy with it.

"Gated community next to back gate"

Heron's Forest in Pensacola is minutes from the back gate of NAS Pensacola. This neighborhood is amazing because it is gated with a community pool and tennis courts. There is beach access to the neighborhood with a boardwalk. I loved running through the trails as well. I loved this community, it was so social that you really get to know your neighbors.

"Family Friendly Great Neighborhood"

If you want to live in West Pensacola Herons Forest is a great neighborhood! It is extremely kid friendly and has a community pool and tennis courts. Many of the residents of this neighborhood are Officers from NAS and the neighborhood is about 5 minutes from base. The neighborhood is very well kept and safe with gates to get in. Johnson's Beach is about 10 minutes away and is a beautiful beach. There are some restaurants close by however downtown Pensacola is 20 -25 minutes away and the mall and airport are 35 minutes away.
