Fort Belvoir: Grove at Huntley Meadow

Grove at Huntley Meadow

"Social fun neighborhood"

The Grove at Huntley Meadows is in Alexandria and it’s close to the Huntington (yellow line) metro station which is only a few stops from the Pentagon stop. It was close to Old Town Alexandria, Mt Vernon, GW Parkway and Ft. Belvoir (commisary, PX, and the new military hospital) Most residents were military personell attached to the Pentagon. The civilian residents are federal employess like secret service, DEA etc. You definitely feel safe there. It’s very dog friendly and they have doggie bags for your dogs too. There’s also a pool and lots of social events and parties. I would move back in a heart beat. Photos are of the town homes but there are detached single family homes too. http://gathm.com/photos/community-photos

Pros Cons
  1. Close to bus/metro lines to DC
  2. Safe with military/government workers
  3. Social events with pool
  4. Close to great areas
  1. Commute to DC, but great public transportation

Price: $400-$650k
