"Seward, Alaska"
Seward is a harbor town in Alaska. It is where many cruise ships stop in and fisherman keep their boats. If you are stationed in Alaska it is a place you should go see. They have many camping grounds and parking spots you can park a camper or motorhome that you can pay for per day. They also have little cabins for military members and or retirees to rent out. If you rent a one of the military cabins they have a community shower and bathroom as well as like a little restaurant there on the grounds to order food from. There are many fishing charters and tours you can go on. If you go fishing, the Alaskan fish to try for is the Halibut, it is a white meat fish and it tastes absolutely amazing. Going on tours you are guaranteed to see the Alaskan wildlife such as puffins, sea lions, whales, and dolphins. Just walking around the harbor you will see many sea otters floating in the waters near the mainland. Seward just recently built a sea life center which is a great place to take the kids. Alaskan wildlife found that needed rehabilitation are kept at the sea life center. There is a glacier you can go visit in Seward as well that is breath taking, just be careful of the bears in that area. Many people like to go to Seward for fourth of July weekend to watch the fireworks as well as the marathon they have every year for that weekend. So at that time you will see many vendors out and local people selling their handmade items. Definitely check out Seward.
