"Classic Coastal Town Feel"

This area of town runs alongside San Diego Bay and has incredible views of all the ships and boats passing by. Broadway Peir is occationally used for large events and for cruise ship docking. The USS Midway Museum is a must see and is full of exhibits and does an amazing job walking you through its story and its place in military and maritime history. The Maritime Museum of San Diego is also facinating and hosts the Star of India and other historic boats. It's relatively inexpensive to enter and the boats you tour are literally floating on the bay. Bay cruises from Flagship Cruises are always a great deal and offer tours of the bay and whale watching off the coast.
