"Heaven on Earth for Military Families"

What do I like about this area? EVERYTHING! Well, except traffic sometimes....

I have searched this country over while traveling in the military or as civilian for a place that felt like home to me to be able to move to and raise my children in an area I felt it would be safe, have a good sense of community, great school systems, have ample opportunities for the children to expand, grow and prosper within the community, have military bases nearby to utilize the benefits, and be close to the ocean with a warmer climate than New England where we moved from. Well, never did I think I could find all of this in one place, but the second I arrived here in Gulf Breeze Florida I knew I had found my home and the place my children would have every opportunity afforded to them possible.

The cost of living here is fantastic too... We bought our very comfortable 4bed/3bath pool home for $220k and our annual taxes are less than one month in New Hampshire!

My 12 yr old is already flying airplanes as part of the Youth Aux. Civil Air Patrol, and we have the home of the Blue Angels here in Pensacola... it is an amazing Aviation training area...

Not only are the schools here top rated, but the community offers so much we cannot even start to do half of what we want to do each day or week... the after school programs are endless, the community outreach is amazing, and we love the beauty that surrounds us each and every day... we are minutes in any direction to the a main beach (Pensacola, Navarre, or Destin) or several local hot-spots on the water.

  • Recommendations: The traffic on the main routes can be pretty extensive during rush hours and that is not the best, but they are building new bridges and trying to help with diverting traffic.
