"A positive experience with old beach."

First of all it is nice to clarify that this area is made up of a very precious tourism, for which the stay in this place, for me, has been a success, since I have managed to diversify my activities day by day, it is an area where you can have an entertainment when you want, the food is adequate to maintain a healthy activity and the people who go to that place are very kind.

The Old Beach area of Virginia Beach is sometimes also called the Oceanfront area, but not to be confused with Shadowlawn or the North End. :) It is roughly the area just West of the Boardwalk between Virginia Beach Blvd and 40th St.
In the summer this area is busy due to tourist season but September-June it is an awesome place to live as a local! The beach is all yours! Year round you can ride your bike to the oceanfront and enjoy the boardwalk and all of the great area restaurants. The summer months bring concerts, magic shows, festivals and events at the beach. Most are free and family friendly. The elementary and brand-new middle school are fantastic. The neighborhood is mostly older people who have lived in the area for 30+ year, young families with kids, and young locals wanting to live close to the surf. Homes range from old beach cottages to newer large construction. The area is improving as the Laskin Rd corridor project brings new construction and updates.
