"Cozy Community with City Convenience and Dreamy Commute"

Close to base. Safe. Friendly. Many housing options and the schools are awesome. The teachers are always eager to go the extra mile, staying after to tutor my son when he struggled and his teacher last year even showed up to one of his baseball games because he had been talking about it that day at school. Neighbors are so nice, too. Game nights, covering kids, texting us when we were out of town and packages were left on the porch, that kind of thing.

  • Recommendations: The schools were so welcoming to our family. (A lot of military and former military people chose Poquoson for the schools and then stayed.) VERY safe area and the commute is just great. This is the first place we've felt safe allowing our kids to run in packs around the neighborhood, playing and enjoying the outdoors. People are friendly.

It’s past Yorktown and not a bad commute to Langley or the other bases. Great small town feel and one of the best school ratings.
