CRE's amenities include two Chesapeake Bay beaches as well as a large lake. The lake has a sandy beach and lifeguards in the summer. There is a children's playground as well as a place to shoot basketballs. CRE has a community center and activities scheduled throughout the year. The annual Crab Fest is coming soon. CRE is not your "cookie cutter" neighborhood as it has been developed over time. It was first a recreation/vacation community for city folk. But now, you cannot imagine the diversity in Chesapeake Ranch Estates. CRE even has its own airport and campground. CRE along the Chesapeake Bay known as "The Land of Pleasant Living"

Waterfrontage on the Chesapeake Bay as well as the Patuxent River and numerous creeks are great for boating, fishing and other water activities. "HOA that doesnt do much"

there are no sidewalks. HOA doesn't do much other than remove snow from streets in winter. You have to ask permission to do simple things like remove a tree. Not all streets are paved so lots of dust. Must cross a two lane bridge to get to PAX base and traffic is crazy.
