"Idyllic, Convenient, High Quality Living"

Price range is actually $125K-250K, so there are affordable optionsn with ideal features. Best schools in county and others pay tuition to bring kids here. Everything you need every day is extremely close but you can't see or hear it because you are backed up to a greenway with wildlife and tons of oaks and other trees. No through traffic. Extremely safe, very low traffic, kids encounter very little traffic, elderly walk even when dark. Extremely quiet. Tons of new shopping. Only 18 minutes the back way through countryside to Fort Hood. Solid brick (not veneer) well maintained homes give you a chance to buy low and put in sweat equity to update before reselling but they are extremely livable. Most have fireplaces and fenced back yards. Look for ones with sprinkler systems as sprinkler water is half price.

  • Recommendations: For similar amenities and qualities, it is very hard to beat this specific street, but you can find some of the features in nearby neighborhoods. Closer to the high school there are pricier, newer homes OR much smaller homes and lots. Near the lake there are some nice homes but you lose the convenience to the schools, shopping, churches, restaurants, etc. The neighborhood next door going out of town is similar but has some very large lots on some streets and some large homes, so they would be a lot pricier. If you go to South Belton or the downtown area, you're going to encounter more low end housing but you may get more police involvement there too. I wouldn't say they are dangerous, but compared to here they are. I would stick to North Belton and consider your priorities. If you want a house on this street, you will probably have to see one you like and knock on the door to see if they will sell because they are in demand. If you do that, wear your uniform and bring your ID and prequalification letter from the bank to enhance your credibility and then set up an appointment if they are willing to talk. Also, the range on this street varies widely by size and features of the home. The larger ones are mostly longterm residents who are unlikely to sell. Rentals in here are very few and far between but occasionally pop up. None back up to the greenway though. The military family we had here across the street bought, updated and resold at a higher price without any trouble.
