"Best neighborhood"

East Beach Is the best neighborhood I have lived in. The neighborhood is so friendly and I know all my neighbors. It's a master planned community with amenities such as a pool right on the bay and workout facility and playground. It's a hidden gen. Some people reference Oceanview when they think of East Beach but it really is a pocket away from the rough areas. I have lived here for 5 years and feel very safe. We rarely have riff raff coming into the neighborhood. Also living on the bay is amazing! Everyone is on the beach every weekend and you know everyone! So fun! Simply the best!

"East Beach"

Although East Beach is a beautiful community, I implore you to look up the crime rates before moving here. In the past, this area had prostitution as well as vandalism and burglary. East Beach was pretty much forgotten about for a few decades. It really fell by the wayside until a local realtor decided to buy the land and build high-end properties along the beach. While this was a seemingly great idea to "clean up" the neighborhood, I feel as though it is a fail. Like I said, East Beach is beautiful, but many people from this area will tell you that they would never live there. It's reputation precedes it. You can also notice that many of these high-end homes are for sale or for rent, presumably because the original owner realized what they had gotten themselves into. Please take care when visiting this area and do not get caught up in the charm and beauty of the houses.

"Cape Cod meets Charlston on the Bay"

East Beach is an amazing beach community with beautiful homes, well manicured lawns and parks. It's a very social community with neighbors sitting on porches, riding golf carts, and attending events at the Bay Front Club every first friday of the month. It is the best neighborhood I have lived in!

"East Beach"

Amazing neighborhood with plenty of festivities to keep your children and you occupied! Close walk to the beach. Some people who don't live in the area are worried about safety, however East Beach is tucked away from the rough areas of Oceanview. I have gone on multiple detachments anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months long and my wife has never felt unsafe. The neighbors are so friendly, that if she was worried, she would walk next door and the neighbor would help! (the sherriff of Norfolk live here too)

This is the prettiest neighborhood ever! The amenities are great and it is walking distance to the bay and the marina. We would recommend to anyone who works in Norfolk and who loves a beach community with water access.

East Beach is an up and coming neighborhood that is very social. It is mostly new construction, therefore can be on the pricier side. Norfolk Navy Base and NSA are both about 20 min away. JEBLCFS (Little Creek) is 5 min away.
