We moved to the Airport Heights neighborhood with an open mind about the local neighborhood school. At first the school principal, teachers, and PTA seemed involved and caring. THere are a few caring teachers that are involved and making the best at teaching there. Then we experienced a horrible teacher that allowed students to bully kids in the classroom. This teacher's classroom management style was allowing other kids to bully kids that wer out of line, single kids out and turn the classroom on these kids. It was an horribe learning environment for our child. We reached out the teacher and school principal - neither was willing to help. I can see why parents are leaving this school for charter and choice school options in the district. We are glad we made the move to other schooling options. Now our child is thriving in school and loving it again. Be ware and be involoved if you do send your kids here. There are a teachers that allow and promote bullying at this school. The adminstrative staff will look the other way whiel it happens.

Airport Heights staff gives 200% of their time, energy and dedication to the nearly 300 students at our school. They truly care about the academic and social development of each student. The school offers many creative opportunities for students and community-wide engagement both during the school week and weekends. The principle and teacher truly seek open communication from parents and the neighborhoods to better serve our community. I know if there is anything that I feel needs to be addressed at the school it begins with me taking action and communicating my concerns. As a parent; to have a voice, to know I am heard, to know that I am welcomed, I feel is what foundationally makes Airport Height such an enjoyable school community to be a part of.

Airport heights has GREAT teachers who work VERY hard with their students. Not all students are easy to work with but you can see everyday these teachers trying their best to give each child what they need. The teachers are great and the kids deserve the best. Airport heights could really use this Boost to make it an even better place to learn. I love airport heights and my girls love going there =)
