Our family has been part of Valley Fellowship Christian Academy for many years, with our oldest starting in 3rd grade and our youngest now a Senior. That experience has given us the opportunity to see the school from many different perspectives.

We have been impressed by the quality of teaching and the emphasis on meaningful learning. The teachers genuinely know their students and care about helping them grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Our children have been encouraged to develop confidence, responsibility, character, and independence.

VFCA also works to support students with different learning needs and recognizes that every child develops differently. As parents, we have appreciated having educators who communicate with families and want parents involved in their children's education.

Safety is another area we take seriously as parents. The school places significant emphasis on student and staff safety and utilizes multiple measures and procedures to maintain a secure environment.

Most importantly, VFCA has made our family feel like part of a community. The relationships we have built with teachers, staff, and other families have been meaningful and lasting. After many years, we are incredibly grateful for the education, support, and foundation VFCA has provided our children.

My children graduated from VFCA and now my Grandchildren attend the school. VFCA prepares kids for college but also prepares them to face life after they graduation No school has perfect kids and ours is no exception but what we do have is a staff that helps steer kids to the Lord when they do make mistakes. There are sports for all ages STEM club, Robotics club, and Cyber Technology club. There are Chapel services for all ages (beginning at 4 YO) that teaches the kids to worship and study the Bible. Our theater department is known for the productions they perform, both the Jr. Theater and Master Theater.

My kids have attended VFCA for the past two years (both in elementary), and it has been an incredible blessing to our family. They've had the opportunity to be involved in sports, cheer, leadership, theater, and robotics, on top of a strong academic foundation. (And they'll be able to do even more next year because of the upgrade in their STEAM program and more sports being rolled out come fall)

Let me just say: Valley is something truly special. The coaches, teachers, and staff give their all. They pour into these children not just with their time and energy, but with their hearts and prayers. Ive never encountered a school so deeply committed to the success of every child academically, physically, and spiritually.

As a parent, Ive watched the teachers here come alongside me like warriors, determined to help my kids thrive and walk confidently into the future God has for them. This is a praying school. It gives me so much peace to know that when my kids need support emotionally, mentally, or spiritually,they have people at school who genuinely care and will go to the Lord on their behalf.

I could go on and on about how grateful we are to have found Valley and how wonderful the staff and administration are. Simply put: you wont find another place like it. I highly recommend VFCA to any family looking for a school that partners with you to nurture the whole child.

This is our second year at Valley Fellowship. We have elementary age children and have been very impressed by the admin, teachers and curriculum.

My children are constantly learning and being challenged in a loving and safe environment. They no longer say they are bored and always have something to talk about when I pick them up. Another reason we chose this school was their use of books over computers especially for the lower grades. Parents also have access to their child's lesson plans, homework and grades.

Every action and decision taken by the school is purposeful with the goal of fostering a greater partnership with each family. They are open and transparent so we can work with the staff to help our children become responsible, Christian leaders.

My kids have been going to VFCA for 9 years now. My family has been incredibly blessed by the partnership that we feel we have in raising our kids with this school. In today's world, where there are so many pressures and influences pulling at our kids, it is essential to have a community of care and Godly influence around them. That's what VFCA staff has done for our kids. No place is completely immune from issues or struggles, and no place should be. Overcoming issues, differences and struggles is what helps to build resilience and makes ones faith stronger and able to withstand the pressures of the world. I love the fact that VFCA has such an emphasis on navigating real life challenges with the love, grace, wisdom and mercy of Jesus. I also love the fact that the family of VFCA is so diverse. It is a beautiful representation of God's creation. My kids and my family have been very blessed by the academic, spiritual and relational experience that VFCA strives to create.

I have partnered with VFCA to educate my children for the past 10 years. They provide a solid (and accredited) academic program with Biblically sound spiritual integration as well as a extracurricular activities that have proven beneficial for my children's mental, spiritual, and physical growth. Any time we discuss options for their education, my children express their desire to continue their educational career at Valley! We know they are genuinely loved by the pastors, administrators and staff which deepens our confidence in our choice for their Christian education.

My children have grown tremendously in all aspects of their life, socially, academically, and spiritually. The administration and teachers truly love my children, and it shows. Kids are kids in every school, even Christian schools, the difference at VFCA is that the principals and teachers can and WILL address behavior issues from a biblical standpoint. The curriculum is rigorous and I definitely feel my children will be prepared well for college. I love the regular progress monitor reports with Star assessments, I can see the data reflecting their academics across a national level, and not just with their grades.
Chapel times are wonderful times when the pastors teach my kids how to worship, how to hear God's voice, and how to live a Christian life.
Being in a school where my children are taught a Biblical worldview is incredibly important now, with all that's going on in public schools, and VFCA does a wonderful job of this.

All of the kids where terribly behaved and mean, they where barley disciplined and when they where, they where basically just told to say sorry. Most of the kids where asleep the entire class, but the teachers where pretty good. A girl threatened to punch me and would shut my hand in my locker, and when I told the principal, all that happened was one of the teachers made us go apologize to each other, which just made the other girl more mad. They also say theyre a Christian school, but none of the kids act like it.

Valley Fellowship Christian Academy is such a blessing to me and my family! We have 2 children in the program and I have seen them both grow by leaps and bounds spiritually and academically over the 3 years they've been enrolled. The teachers truly want the best for each and every child and will go above and beyond to help them improve. The school offers tutoring and other intervention services to help those that may need a little additional support academically. My daughter had one month of math tutoring at VFCA over the summer and increased her scores by nearly 20%! My 5 year old son comes home telling me all about the Bible lessons he learned that day and wanting to showcase his new reading skills. The administration is so easy to work with, you really can't go wrong partnering with this school!

They've added some quality professional administrators to the team in the past 2 years, and I love all of them! They are passionate about the mission of raising Godly leaders, and if I ever have an issue with something they always take time to listen. Their hearts are genuine and love the Lord!

They have multiple resources for students with learning differences including 2 interventionists, one on one tutoring sessions that happen during the school day as well as after school tutoring options for students who are struggling. The teachers utilize many tools to help in the classroom as well.

My children feel safe at the school. They know if they tell a teacher something concerning another student, it will be taken seriously, and dealt with.

Teacher's post homework assignments on RenWeb, a web based program, that makes it very clear to know what assignments are due. Students in Elementary also have a planner that comes home everyday to be signed by a parent.

I love the teacher's at VFCA! Every teacher I have met truly has a heart for God, and for teaching. They partner with us as parents to set goals for our children each year, and together we make plans for how to reach those goals. Both of my children are excelling academically.

I love that my children have Bible as a class everyday, as well as Chapel every week. They come home and ask questions about the Bible, and my children even encourage each other at home with scripture lessons they've learned at school!

Fantastic School. My children went to college fully prepared. They both entered college with top scholarships and many dual enrollment college credits. It is a truly Christian school that offers excellence in the educational program.

As a Christian school, most private schools are not able to take students with learning difference. This school has brought in the teachers and resources to be able to take on a good portion of the challenges that they face. They're not equipped to take on severe issues, but most schools aren't. Their hearts are definitely in the right place.

I haven't seen bullying at the school. I know that it isn't tolerated. As with all schools, there are likely ways that this school could improve, but they continue to seek to improve each day.

I am very pleased with our experience at VFCA. Our children are learning and growing in many different ways and I am so grateful for the Christian partnership that they have with our family. I do not feel as if any students receive preferential treatment as some of the other reviews stated. They are definitely growing and have room for improvement, but the heart of the school is so wonderful that I am very excited to be a part of their growth and improvement.

A private school affiliated with a primary/sole church. Members that go to the church are the same that run the school. The children who attend church there take priority. The children who do not attend the church also pay good money for an education. The leadership should be responsible to see that all students get the same education and opportunities. The student's family who doesn't attend the church should get the same education and opportunities as the student whose parents attend the church or work at the school.

My son attended this school for two years. A private school affiliated with a primary/sole church. Members that go to the church are the same that run the school. The children who attend church there take priority. Conflict of interest? I think so. Also, they seem to have a high teacher turnover. My son's first grade teacher was let go. She was crying on the last day of school. I think she really liked it there. I have to say she was a very good teacher. My son learned so much. I can only assume that if the teachers do not attend the church would sorta be the same as the children not attending the church. Their jobs would probably be very shaky, so keeping good teachers would be very difficult for this school.

My experience at this school was not the best, although I really think that the year I was there it was a growing year and they didn't know how to deal with some of the changes that were happening. They did ascribe to Christian Values and I truly believe that God was working in them. However, I also believe that there were vast improvements to be made. They seemed behind on the way they treated some of the grades, still treating sixth graders as if they were young children and keeping them separate from activities that would be happening at the upper campus. They did not seem to think that the sixth grade students would be able to handle being around older grades and I often saw and heard of treatment that isolated them from other grades at that campus. They are also behind on technology and it uses. Students are not allowed to have phones, tablets, or any electronics anywhere but locked up in the front office or in their cars. The limited technology they do have is not utilized very well. They almost treat the computers and the internet as the reason behind anything bad popping up, and not the students. Their technology policies need major revision. The administration did not seem supportive of teachers that were not part of the church family, related to the main family that ran things, or former students. I do not think this was on purpose, just that they had a closed atmosphere without realizing it. They also seemed to pander to the parents more than back up decisions that the teachers made. Several students that were disrespectful or rude, or were instigators of problematic behavior were not dealt with as harshly as they seemed to say, usually because of the position of the child's parents. The students were also very destructive, to school property, other's property, and even personal property. The sentiment of their parents paying for it with tuition so they could do what they wanted was said more than once. They also seemed to have a very specific idea of how worship should be, although they said they were open to more ways. It was always the same types of songs and music and they seemed to slightly push the idea of speaking in tongues. If you are not one who is comfortable with the idea of people suddenly seeming to break out in tongues then this isn't the place for you. I think that there is some good going on here but there's a lot of improvements

In some ways yes it does. They promote Godly values and Biblical values. However, enforcing them when the student has no motivation to is where they fail.

No. More than a few of the teachers don't seem to be supported as I have seen teachers deal with students and parents that were troublesome and the administration did nothing. At most, they might talk at the students, but in no way was the student's behavior stopped. They did not protect their teachers.

Not really. They have tried, but most of their efforts consist of making tests easier, and trying to keep it a secret that they are. There's a few places they do well, but overall, they just don't have the experience, set up, or ability at this point to take care of a student that doesn't quite fit the mold, learning differences or special needs.

I saw bullies bully students, bully classes, and bully teachers and nothing was done about it. They were talked at, but they were never really punished. It was a very ineffective matter and I saw more than one person driven to tears because of some of the bullying that they knew was going on and didn't stop.

My child is in Kindergarten and has an inclination towards taking things that aren't his and lying to get his way... something many young children struggle with of course. However, I really appreciate the school partnering with us - not judging him or overreacting - to take sensible and effective measures in correcting the heart attitude behind this behavior.

I've been going to this school for around 9 years now and here's my honest review of it. The Good -The teachers, the teachers are great, they care about the students and want them to learn. - You can take dual-enrolment classes that also count for college. - The food, the lunch food is really good. The Bad - It's super easy to get by without doing work and still maintain good grades, I would know. I've been doing it basically all through high school. - It's super easy to cheat here, a lot of the teachers aren't observant. - There aren't really any electives or extra classes you can take. - The administration, they don't handle situations correctly. Just this year there has been multiple issues. The administration yelled at a senior and made them cry because they were "too slow" they also told another one that "she doesn't have Jesus and that she didn't belong here". Mrs. Simon (the principal) is super sweet but it seems that she does have a "bad side", she's good at teaching Bible but I don't think she can really handle being an administrator. Overall it's really a good school, it's just the administration. Academic wise: 4/5.

I love the extracurriculars that are available to my children. Both of them enjoy the activities. They're still young enough that it isn't too intense for them, but it is fun and keeps them busy.

Our children enjoy attending the Little Valley Program's K-1 and K-3 classes. Our daughter is learning about God's love for us and has even begun to recite Bible Verses from memory. She is conducting science experiments already in the classroom! Our son is so happy and enjoys playing on the playground. It is easy coming to school, because my children enjoy being here with teachers and aides that care about them, and are helping them grow in their mind, body, and spirit.

I am very grateful for Valley Fellowship Christian Academy. I have two boys enrolled in Little Valley Academy. They are growing academically, socially, and spiritually. They are learning the Word of God and hiding it in their hearts. My son is reading and adding in PK4! He is going to be very prepared for Kindergarten. I am so excited for the future of VFCA. It is truly a place of grace and love.

I have a K5, 4th Grade and 6th Grade student enrolled at Valley Fellowship Christian Academy. They have been enrolled since they were in K3. I love the way their teachers and Administrators nurture, pray and mentor each of them. The academics are excellent, and they are taught the Word of God and how to enter into God's presence! My children also enjoy playing soccer, basketball and T-ball for VFCA. I feel very blessed to partner with a school focused on excellence in my children's body, mind and spirit.

My kids love to go to VFCA. I have a 5 year old and a 2 year old currently enrolled. My older son often gets upset when I come to pick him up because he doesn't want to leave. My boys love their teachers, and they love their friends. As a parent, I feel that VFCA nurtures a safe and fun learning environment for my kids.

This review will concentrate on the high school at Valley Fellowship, and our rating reflects our assessment of that part of the school. We had children in the elementary school and were very happy with their teachers, the staff, and the program overall. Our rating for the elementary side of the school would be 5 stars. The high school, in our opinion, has some issues that need to be addressed. In some of our child's courses, material was not covered in a timely way; progress was stymied by teachers giving students a "second chance" to take a test or quiz in order to improve the apparent performance of the class. One male teacher made a few inappropriate remarks about some of the female students. The once a week chapel services are conducted in a contemporary style: students who do not subscribe to religious traditions that use contemporary music and that allow a certain amount of 'dancing' will be noticed unfavorably, and those students' devotion to God will be considered to be in question. There are some very dedicated and talented teachers in the high school, and we are grateful for their contributions to our child's education.

My children graduated from this excellent school. My children were fully prepared for college and received multiple scholarships. The spiritual atmosphere is very strong and healthy. The Word of God is the basis of their mission. The fully accredited academic program is also very strong. The church, pastors, administration and staff are godly and highly qualified. I appreciate the genuine godly mentoring and Christian partnership of this school.

VFCA has a community that is unequaled at any school I've seen. It's warm, and most parents know each other by name as well. We attend field trips together, go to school performances and even call when someone has forgotten a book or needs help for a test.

I praise God for leading us to VFCA when my school search began. My little adopted son has been there for 4 years & there is not one thing about the school that I would change. We have had 4 SUPER teachers, great curriculum, Godly staff, etc. My special thanks to each one affiliated with VFCA for their concern for our children & their efforts to raise godly leaders. I recommend this school highly and hope to be a part of it until my child graduates from high school.

VFCA is an amazing school that provides an excellent learning experience while equipping kids to become Godly leaders! VFCA offers a hot lunch program with kitchen staff, multiple extracurricular activities including soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball, track and field, science and spanish clubs, music lessons, and more! There is not a better private, Christian school in the area!

Best Christain school in AL!!! My son attended VFCA two yrs and then we moved out of the state. He has attended several private schools since then and none of the these schools compared to VFCA! The staff at VFCA is awesome. Very loving and caring teachers who love the Lord and practice what they teach!! And as of this year, they accept children from 6wks old -12th grade! In addtion, they have a culinary minister who prepares hot lunches every day!
