Im currently in 7th grade, the teachers don't care about anyone, expect their fav. They teach really weak, we can do the problem for two weeks. The busses are full off fights, eating, cussing, everything you say. I mean, I am a part of cussing and everything. But still the school don't care. The P.E, one person messed up? Whole class is staying inside because someone talked. You can talk whole class on. But still the teacher don't care, bullied? don't care. So please, try to educate students, and make them feel safe. Not to take their phones.

I sent my child to Causey. He received an excellent education. I would recommend Causey. It is a good place to be.

This is the worst school my daughter has ever attended. We had absolutely no issues in elementary school, but it has been constant problems since we started here. The administration are a bunch of bullies on a power trip. Avoid this school at all costs.

Causey Middle School is one of my favorite schools i’ve ever gone to. The staff are truly one of a kind. Causey Middle teaches kids the consequences of your actions, and how to deal with them. They also teach you that drugs, alcohol, and self harm is unacceptable and if you have any problems to speak directly to either the principal, the AP’s, or the counselors. This school was truly a great learning experience for me.

Disgusting and the worst school I have ever been to in my entire life. I would never send my child here willingly.

I attended this school for well over one-year, it was a horrible experience. The bullies ruled the school with no consequences, the teachers would rather nit- pick with the students than teach, and drugs, vapes, etc. had an easy way access into school and out. The students here are treated like prisoners. Self-harm is another problem at this school. So, if you would like your child to be treated like an animal then send them to Causey Middle School. I wouldn't wish this on any kid. I vote to close this school down.

Having only been a student there for one year, my experience with the school may be limited, but in my one year I found the school to be a horrible cesspool of drugs, bullying, self-harm, inattentive teachers and staff, absolutely appalling special education program, and physical altercations. Many of the students in the school struggle with mental health issues and self harm issues. The teachers and even counselors do next to nothing to assist these kids and their problems only get worse as they resort to more and more drastic measures especially entering high school. Aside from poor mental health measures, the school is riddled with physical fights and bullying. It seemed everyday that someone was getting knocked out in the locker room or jumped at one of the school exits. Intellectually and physically challenged students are the most vulnerable and most likely to be victims of bullying. This is only made worse by the fact that these students are sometimes not separated from other classes and the fact that the special education “professionals” have little to no training or knowledge to deal with these issues. The school has ridiculously low standards to a point where it puts the students and staff at considerable risk. It is legitimately dangerous to be a student at this school.

I like the lack of homework so that my daughter can be active in activities outside of school but it does make it difficult to know what they are working on.

We have had great communication with teachers. Each of her teachers has been so kind.

We were worried to send our oldest to Causey because of how large it is. We were worried she wouldn't be "seen" but it was quite the opposite. Her teachers and administration were attentive, caring and accommodating. She is now in 7th grade and enjoying each day. Of course we wish it was smaller but even with the size, it is run very smoothly. She has been hit with normal middle school life lessons but feels safe and cared for. Do I wish I could afford fancy private school? Sure but since we can't, Causey has been an excellent option.

If I could give this school a zero I would.

Posted: March 16, 2018

My child never has homework and when teachers are asked to provide me with what was covered in class, I'm told that my child knows what they did in class.

Posted: March 16, 2018

I have yet too meet a teacher art this school that was genuinely as interested in my child's education as I am.

Posted: March 16, 2018

I don't think any teacher at this school knows what character development truly is.

Posted: March 16, 2018

Administration seams more interested in confusing children in which restroom to use then educating children on things that actually matter.

Posted: March 16, 2018

Everything is taught only one way. Not the way a child learns.

Posted: March 16, 2018

Bullies rule this school and with no consequence for their actions nothing will change.

Principal Pioroux is a complete failure and has no business being around children. He's an liability to the school system

Sorry I had to rate to be able to comment We have been looking for a nice house to move in. We've talked to people and have heard Semmes Schools are the best. But haven't found house in that area, yet. The house we are looking at ends him to this school but reading comments make me wonder. He is ADHD but he makes A and B. SO is this school quipped to make it interesting enough to keep his attention?

Both my children have attended Causey and I love it. The staff is attentive and the environment welcoming. The new principal is on top of everything! Carpool can be overwhelming but the teachers work hard to make things flow smoothly despite the large number of students.

I, having been a student there, can say that this school is poorly run. The administration there is poorly trained and often place five or more students with a single paraprofessional. A majority of the school usually gets into tussles and can often result in an unsafe environment for students. This school should have far better staff and management when it comes to the way they handle the students, both regular ed, and special ed.

My daughter is in the 8th grade at Causey this year & has attended all 3 years of middle school there. Administration changed after her 1st year there, and this was a definite improvement. Mr. Gill is very involved with improving the school and attending to/resolving parent concerns. Our experience with all of the teachers has been very positive. Mr. Bean is absolutely an amazing band instructor. The Pace teachers-- Mrs.Barry & Mrs. Johnson have been great at providing a challenging and fun learning experience during middle school. They also communicated with parents via email which I loved. The math & science teachers have all provided fun and meaningful learning experiences. I highly recommend this middle school to parents of gifted/advanced children. This is the only area I have experience with at this school.
