There are fights every single day, vaping once in a while, and bullying. I dont recommend this school. There are so many disrespectful kids, fighting, swearing so much, bullying, etc. If you try to defend yourself you get called to the office and go to ECAP. This school is similar to a juvenile detention center.

Millbrook middle school is an amazing school with great teachers and students.

Terrible experience... I will never recommend this school. Fights every single day, drugs, Discrimination, disrespectful kids.. I went to this school and never been to a correctional but I believe this is the most similar to a juvenile correctional

When a child needs extra help they make sure they get the help they need. They work with each childs needs. Each is different. My child was honor roll because of the extra help she needed. I give them a A+.

My experience has been great at the school. She gets to do clubs and pepsquad. She is in the beta club. She has a learning disability but made honor roll. She did the work and has met her goals. So very proud of her and the school. It takes parents, teachers and administration working together to make it works. And they have done a great job. Like I said I would give them a A+ for all they have done.

Not at all! They punish the kids who get bullied like they are a bully! We’ve been dealing with my child getting bullied the school does NOTHING to the other child.

I have had questions on homework and wrote a note to the teacher and also emailed and never heard back. I wrote notes on progress reports about missing grades and teacher never responded which in return affected my son’s grade on his report card! If it would not have been for that, he would have had honor roll this first grading period but teachers do not respond back to parents.

My child has been going to Millbrook schools since he was in 1st grade and only a few teachers have I actually been pleased with. The rest need to learn to actually be a teacher and not a bully.

The prinicpal and assistants don’t show compassion for the students and that falls then to the teachers. Only a couple actually care about the students.

The assistant principal is not someone who talks to parents respectfully at all. My son was bullied on the bus and she told me since I taught my child to defend himself, it was my fault they were sending him to alternative school for a week! FOR SELF DEFENSE! She was rude and nasty... as was the principal. Fast forward a few weeks and a similar incident happened but those children only recieved In School Suspension. There is no fairness in the Middle school. My son now won’t be able to go on the big field trip at the end of the year because he chose to defend himself instead of beat up. Pathetic on the school’s part.

3. We are looking to move so we can get out of Millbrook schools. The final straw was the assistant principal telling me my child going to alternative school was my fault for teaching him to defend himself.

I have lived all over the United States and my children have always had wonderful experiences with school. This school's teachers are egregiously bad. I wouldn't expect this behavior from an adult much less a teacher.

My child has homework every night, which is about what I would expect. It's the teacher follow-up that is lacking. If you as a parent have a question and email the teacher. You will not get a response.

The entire staff needs retraining! The teachers are very aggressive towards the students, bordering on abusive. Even the substitute teachers are nasty to the kids. the students seem to be typical middle schoolers, in which the staff seems ill equipped to handle. There is a culture rampant among these teachers where they will berate, yell, and insult the children. The material is easy enough, but due to the attitude of the teachers your child will be behind the power curve. The teachers lack passion and empathy for their students. They will not return email and have no vested interest in your child's success. Avoid this school! I was warned by several people about the teachers, but I always reserve judgement until I see it myself. Well, I've seen it myself and I am thoroughly disgusted. Just find a neighboring private school, it's not worth the stress and heartache your child will endure.

There is a new principal, some new staff members, and a new curriculum for the 2013-2014 school year. I will wait and see to pass judgment. Two weeks into the year and my son does not have any complaints. The only complaint I have is that teachers do not update their blogs or assignments weekly so I do not know what he has to be studying.

Do NOT send your child here! THEY CANNOT TEACH AND DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR CHILD. The teachers make comments about the child if they are a little slow or have a learning disability & that gives fodder for students to use to bully. My child even had teachers in 7th grade that bullied almost as much as the other children. He was failing by Christmas & didn't even catch it by April. The teachers were always calling me to either get him to mind or do his school work. Well, if they had discipline, they shouldn't need me to hold his hand to be sure he doesn't retaliate against the bullying or if the teachers could work with him at his level I wouldn't have to come sit on top of him to get him to do the work. He wasn't doing it because he didn't understand it!

Do NOT send your child here! THEY CANNOT TEACH AND DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR CHILD. MY KIDS ARE 3 YEARS BEHIND IN SKILLS BECAUSE OF HAVING GONE HERE. Everything that can be wrong with the administration, teachers all teachers, cafeteria food, Acadmics, Bullying, the ability to learn is all in one place. Millbrook Middle Junior High School. My children suffer daily. It puts so much stress on me. They serve rotten fruit, raw chicken, a cheese sandwich. This is the worst school ever.
