I'd like to clear up a statement from another review. They said, "THEY ARE VOLUNTEERS!!!!! THEY DONT HAVE DEGREES!!!!" This is inaccurate. Fayetteville Christian has been accredited by the Arkansas Non-Public School Accrediting Association since 1994. Teachers are required four year degrees in their topic. YES, they are volunteers... as in not being paid. For over 40 years, teachers got a discount on tuition, but no other paycheck. But the LEARNS Act has allowed FCS to charge students a higher rate (still below every other private school in NWA), which has allowed them to offer pay to teachers. STILL many teachers who did not need the income chose to remain unpaid volunteers at the school. But everyone has at least a bachelor's; many have masters and doctorates in their fields.

The overall experience of this school has been amazing. Love and compassion where needed and discipline and tough love where needed. I appreciate the fact my children have a place to learn their academics where Jesus is central.

I appreciate having a Christian school where I can volunteer (to help pay) and know all the teachers on a first name basis. Their compassion for my girls is genuine and I know my children are getting the most out of their education.

If either of my girls are struggling with a subject I am notified immediately. This allows me and the teachers to give my girls the extra attention they need so they can succeed.

My kids love the teachers and kids at this school. They've been to public school as well, but chose to stay at Fayetteville Christian. The learning environment and smaller class sizes are wonderful and ensure that each child gets the attention they require.

My child's experience has been exceptional. In her three years there, all of her teachers have made her feel as if she were part of their family, and the administration goes above and beyond to meet the needs of all who are within their walls, from the parents to the teachers to the students.
Any ministry for God will meet with resistance and attacks and bitter hearts, but I pray that God will encourage everyone in this service. May you all always keep in mind the young lives that you are changing for the good and for eternity. We sooooo appreciate you!

This is a wonderful school! The teachers and staff truly care about the students, and the curriculum is excellent. National test scores are always high. Affordable, Christian education.

My experience, and that of my child has always been excellent. I am very thankful for my child's teachers and administrators. I am thankful that my child can learn very well in an ordered yet creative environment. I am thankful for opportunities to serve the school and be part of my child's schooling and development.

Homework is necessary to helping my child grow and learn. None of the homework is overwhelming, nor does it require hours to do. I am able to work with my child and help her without both of us becoming frustrated.

The student/teacher ratio is very low, so my child is able to get whatever help is needed. I know that the teachers undergo a lot of professional training yearly, and they are always seeking the best for the kids. Because our teachers are volunteers, I know that they aren't just doing a "job." They honestly care about their students, their parents, and their end-product of an educated and prepared adult. They love the kids.

This is one of the areas where Fayetteville Christian School succeeds the most. Although the academics are excellent, it is the Judeo-Christian ethics that are taught and modeled which make the biggest difference. Even if someone is against the Judeo-Christian teachings, they cannot deny the end-product. Our students exceed most of their peers on standardized tests, but they also have an understanding of integrity, honesty, loyalty, teamwork, and compassion.

The administration has gone above and beyond to provide for the needs of the students. Certainly they are well-educated themselves; but it is their understanding, compassion, and goal-setting which sets them apart. Discipline is administered with great circumspection and with the goal of helping the child. The child's needs come first. I can stand behind an adminstration with that kind of heart.

This is the one area in which we suffer. Because we have a volunteer staff, our teachers are not trained in special needs. We do have some teachers who help with reading and keeping kids caught up in math and other subjects; but our campus is not set up for full physical accessibility, nor is it set up for the very mentally challenged or gifted. It DOES meet and exceed the needs of most children, but the needs of those on the extreme ends of the learning spectrum are not met well.

The students are rarely left unattended, and they are taught from the very beginning of their school careers to help, encourage, and befriend ALL the children in their classes. If there is an extreme problem with bullying, there are discipline measures in place.

The school is outstanding. A very positive, close family-like environment, with superior education. The teachers are committed and I love the Biblical integration of the Bob Jones curriculum. My children have excelled under the caring and effective teachers. Christian character is taught and lived-out through the teachers and staff!

FCS does not do 504s or IEPs. However, within the abilities of the administration and teachers, every student is given all the tools and resources to succeed. If the administration feels they cannot do a child justice, they recommend a good school where the child's best interest can be served.

Because the teacher:student ratio is so low, most bullying is headed off before it can even begin. If an incident does occur, teachers and administration fairly view the issue from all sides and try to address the issue without punishments. Correction of hearts is emphasized over conforming to strict forms of behavior.

Homework is only assigned when the child does not finish their work during the school day. Homework is strictly forbidden on Wednesdays (for church).

Each year, there's a theme throughout the year. Last year was 3Rs: respect yourself, respect others, respect the school. This year is: Smile and Serve. The theme is always taught and encouraged to teachers, students, and parents.

FCS was a life saver for my son. I could not have asked for better teachers and staff. They truly care for each child....not only as a student but as an individual. My son had always struggled to make friends and students at FCS welcomed him with open arms which built his self esteem more than ever before. The education is top notch and students graduate ready for whatever life may bring. So thankful for FCS!

F FCS. The school is a terrible place for normal kids. My sister was talking about "inappropriate things" around her friends like all kids I've ever met do, but those kids told on her and they expelled her, for talking about things all kids talk about. They took away all her friends for doing something that I got suspended for one day from the same school for. And the closed nature of the school means that she is going to have an extremely hard time adjusting socially to a public school. As far as I'm concerned there punishment is ten times worse than what she did to earn it, but I guess that's just the way that school works. Double standards and over reactions.

Would Not Recommend: Teachers there are NOT Certified. ABEKA Curriculum is Not Recommended if you want your child to have the Best Education. Staff: Is Rude; Debbie is Pretentious & Seriously needs to take a look in the Mirror. Principle is a Real Piece of Work & Needs Preserverance & Get a Educated himself on how to deal with Parents. Yes; I Could Not Agree More Dicrimination at it's Best! To Bad; I had Planned of making Donations to this Local School. After Speeking with many people in the Community I have changed my mind & decided to Donate to a better cause for children with Handicaps.

I am a student-- well now I'm a graduate of 2014, I attended FCS for 13 years. It is a wonderful school. The teachers really care for each individual student. Each teacher is called by God to teach with no pay, so if they didn't care; they wouldn't be there. It's a wonderful place to put your kids if you want them to be protected from drug, sex, and violence. It's true, the school doesn't have the accommodations to fairly teach students with special needs. But FCS teaches The Word of God, which needs to be taught more than just one or two days a week in church. And if you think FCS turns you down or looks down on you for your religion-- it's a baptists schools and, they have atheists, Muslims, Catholics, and so many more religions. They teach strait from the KJV Bible, but they do NOT belittle other religions. Everyone is so friendly. It's one big family, and I am proud to say I am apart of it.

Would not Reccomend; they enforce corporal punishment. The School is Very Small; you pretty much have to know the same people to get accepted (be a part if their Click). Non-Denominational are Looked Down upon. You MUST Have References for a 3 year old; (Get Real) ; they will take your $$$ for enrollment fees ; cash your check; $150 non-refundable; knowing that they will not accept your child. They have a System where Debbie will Red Flag your child & then set up another meeting with the Principle whom thinks he knows it all; they will be little your child; tell you that your child is not good enough to be accepted; (Beating around the Bush). Recommend that you enroll your child in a Public School System. They will even stoop as Low as telling a parent their school does not have the Facility for a Child with Special Needs. Thing is my Child is NOT Special Needs; (Discrimination) they make assumptions even though they are not phycicians, They are Very Hypocritical. One day they will come across a Child that is Honestly Autistic & it will be their own child or a close Family member. I bet they would Not Deny them in that school. Matthew 7:1-2

Self-righteousness; Hyptocrites; Very Discriminating; They will "Red Flag" your children if they do not Behave Like the Perfect Angels their kids are; Debbie has No Issues taking your $300 check/ per child for enrollment fees; ($150 Non-Refundable); even though she has No intentions of allowing your children to attend; my Family was Snubbed; Horrible treatment.
