My daughter was bullied and nothing was done until I threatened to call a lawyer. Parent volunteers are absolutely rude. If you have a disabled child the teacher complains about taking care of them. I'm so happy my daughter got out of that school.

The parent volunteers are rude and my daughter was bullied and the vice principal got rude with me because I said something about it.

Very horrible and damaging experience by staff/teachers at Thomas Jefferson Elementary. There's a reason why even Google has censored all reviews on Google Maps. They don't want you to know the truth. If you are considering this school, I urge you to reconsider as it may cost a lifetime of damage.

I absolutely LOVE this school! We were rezoned and moved to get back to this school based on our experiences at a neighboring school within the district. Being in a different school briefly made us all the more thankful for how unique and wonderful Thomas Jefferson is. Very active PTO that does a lot for improving the school, very responsive leadership, wonderful seasoned teachers. We've been here since 2014, have had 9 teachers during that time and I have nothing bad to say!

We've had 6 children go through TJ, in all of that we have never had an issue with any teacher with the exception of one first year teacher who was still finding her legs.

Since our kids have transitioned to virtual school I've gotten to see firsthand how they incorporate character building into the curriculum.

The principal and vice principal have always been very easy to reach and very communicative.

I know they had a wonderful readying support specialist, but I don't believe they have an active special needs program. I believe this is the smallest school in the district and the neighboring school has an active program.

This has been handled differently among different teachers, but when addressed by the leadership has always been handled well in my opinion.

We moved from a small private school in another town. All staff were so welcoming and my 2nd grader loved it! His teacher is amazing.

They identify early, work with kids, and break into small groups called "Tiger Camp" almost daily to make sure kids get what they need.

They teach that through their actions that if someone doesn't agree with you to bully and degrade them.

If you don't agree with them they immediately try to degrade you. Luckily I'm a foster mom and proved them wrong through our caseworkers. Unfortunately, they kicked my foster kid out of school for the day due to it.

The staff at this school teaches students how to be reflective of their words, and actions. They encourage and expect students to participate in their own learning and hold students accountable for setting personal goals.

I was a teacher at Thomas Jefferson for several years. The staff is fantastic, they work together so well and have a very community oriented attitude regarding success for all students. I have never worked with such a dedicated, thoughtful, and passionate group of educators. I will be sending my children to TJ when they are old enough. It's a great school with a lot of wonderful learning taking place.

The teachers are incredible. My children excelled here. Communication is impeccable. They replied very quickly. I always felt comfortable asking them anything. They were very happy to answer all questions and to work together with us to help my child succeed.

Very minimal homework is given. Home time is family time. It took a lot of stress and frustration off of our family.

My children had moved from school to school. This was their 5th school in an average of 4 years. We arrived right before the Holidays. It was the best school they'd ever been in. From the front office to the teachers and even the students it was the most welcoming, down to earth, amazing environment. Communication was impeccable. Little to No homework, as home time is family time. That was something I was not used to. My children both excelled! They do so much for the students. I LOVE THIS SCHOOL!!

I am extremely blessed to get to be a part of the Thomas Jefferson staff/team. TJ provides a fantastic learning environment with top notch teachers who care about their students. Each and every employee of this school is dedicated to meeting the needs of students not only academically but emotionally as well. We have wonderful counselors that provide support and love to all who attend here. I am personally very grateful for the opportunity to be at Thomas Jefferson.

When I found out that my son was being moved to TJES from Centerton Gamble, I was worried that he might not handle the transition well. However, this turned out to be a non-issue. My son has flourished here. His teacher, Mr. Engle, sees the good in each and every child. He saw past some of my son's learning challenges, and identified strengths that he could appreciate and appeal to. The staff at the school and is caring a supportive always. It is bittersweet leaving this school for middle school, but rest assured that your child is in good hands!

The teachers at Thomas Jefferson are the best! Especially Ms. Geiger. My granddaughter has thoroughly enjoyed 2nd grade this year.

I absolutely LOVED being at Thomas Jefferson! The principal and staff were so loving and inviting! I went there from 1st-5th grade and it really got me ready for James Weldon Johnson which is also an EXCELLENT school :)

The teachers don't pay attention to the children, especially in the recess environment. If there is any kind of altercation or rough housing, don't expect the teachers to have noticed. The after school program is also lack luster. If you go to pick your child up early, in my experience 90% of the time none of the faculty will even know where you're child is. In the event that rain keeps them inside the children will simply be sitting alone doing nothing. This is not an after school learning program, and there are no organized activities. I have since pulled my child from adventure club and would prefer to pull him from the school to place him somewhere the faculty care as much about the kids as they do their paycheck.

My son has gone to school here for Kindergarten and now 1st grade. He really struggled academically and all the staff were SO wonderful with working with my son to provide the best and a fun learning experience for him. He just loves going to school every day, his teachers are so wonderful and provide such a fun learning experience! I just love this school!
