This school takes pride in every student and works hard to meet the student where they are. They then set goals and help each student acheive them.

One of the best character programs I have seen.

I have two children that attend this school. The family-like atmosphere is the best thing about this school. The school brought their C rating up to an A last year!! This school really cares about the success of my kiddos. I have always been welcome and encouraged to eat lunch or volunteer is all the functions they have. I wonder why this site hasn't updated their educational information in a few years? I wouldn't send my kids anywhere else.

I think they try. Again, there are programs to encourage this, but I didn't know about them to help the kids be involved until last minute.

Principal left in the middle of the year. He wasn't great. Hopefully, the new principal will be better.

Not the best. They treat everything like a behavior problem. Limited communication, but once its an issue they act like you should have known all along.

Posted: May 29, 2019

Very inconsistent. They don't react the same to incidents. Different kids and situations are met with very different approaches.

It's okay. The 5/10 seems about right. Definitely behind academically. Socially, kids are given a lot of freedom. Nothing done to encourage parental involvement. It's not the worst. It's not that great. An okay school where most kids will probably be just fine.

They don't send home spelling lists. No way to help your child prepare weekly for the test.

Kids did okay, but I never knew of anything that was happening until last minute. Teachers take a more old school approach. Lots of "who ya know" mentality.

They do not seem to want or encourage parental involvement. I took my son out of this school but my daughters still go here. Will be searching for a new school or homeschooling next school year. Also, every time I have gone to eat lunch with my daughter, the teachers in the lunch room have always been screaming at the kids.

My husband and I just attended grandparents day at this school. Our grandchild loves everything about day to day learning here. There seems to be great interaction from teacher to student...student to student. We are very impressed with faculty and staff. Young developing minds require interesting challenges introduced by experienced teachers. I believe they are here.

Ward Central Elementary is a very welcoming school. I have been envolved with WC for many years and have been very pleased!! All teachers and staff are very helpful. If I ever had a question or concern I knew I could ask the principals, teachers or other staff members for assistance and they were alway willing to help me in anyway they could. GO WILDCATS, WILD ABOUT PRIDE!!!
