The school as a whole is great but for my son who is African American the experience has been terrible. His 6th grade year was full of bullying issues and kids making racial slurs that would never get addressed by the school. It even got to the point where teachers began retaliating against him after we complained to the administration about the teachers that wouldnt report or address the issues my son would report to them. He didnt want to transfer after his first year, because hes made some wonderful friends and loves the athletes. But in year two, his 7th grade year, were already experiencing some of the same issues from the previous year. I since that theres a lot of politics going on because I spoken to other parents who have experienced similar issues. This is not the school you want to send your kids to if theyre black! Just not a healthy and equally fair environment.

I go to Elmwood now and I couldn't be happier! They treat you amazingly and give you tons of rights. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else.
