These schools do not teach anything about TIME. My kids have no clue what time they get out of school. The most important thing they could possibly learn and they have no clue.

My child has been put into an AP class by the most OCD English teacher and her Algebra teacher is learning hoe to teach to her way of learning! That shows dedication to me!

I miss helping my child with homework but she gets it all done at school or on he bus because of the 30-35 minute ride to and from.

My daughter has been in situations where she was compelled by her integrity to report bullying or directly confront bullies and the administration has supported her for her efforts! Children should be encouraged to do the right thing and this has always been the case at Tombstone. She feels comfortable going to the administration with issues and teachers are sympathetic to students issues. Children learn what they live and teachers exhibit honesty, integrity, and fairness.

My daughter has been to Buena High School and CAS in Sierra Vista and her experiences have left us feeling like a GED was her only option in is area. After her failed attempt at online school at Prima Vera, she decided to try Tombstone High School. Because of their low scores I was MORE than worried; but, since she has been there her grades and outlook on education has improved! She has found caring students, teachers, and administrators. Her one "problem" teacher is working with her to teach in the way that she learns so they can both be successful at their "jobs". School is not about scores based on educational opportunities, it is more about the comraderie of the students and the care and commitment of the faculty. If my child doesn't feel comfortable in her learning environment and important to the teachers and administration, she will not like school and will not succeed. I am so glad that she is in an environment where she can thrive! Tombstone High School should get a "10"! Tombstone takes bullying seriously, as well, and my daughter feels safe-unlike at the higher "scoring" Buena High School.

This school is a good school if you are not the best student. If you are struggling in school and need easy classes, tombstone is for you. If you are a smart kid, who is interested in taking Honors/Advanced Placement classes, Tombstone is not for you. The school's math department only teaches until Pre-Calculus, which makes some kids not able to graduate, unless they do Dual-Enrollment at Cochise College. The school also splits Algebra 1 into two classes, which will equal two credits, because of the 4x4 block scheduling. The result in splitting up the math classes mean that the student will only learn material up to Algebra 2. The only honors class here at tombstone is English, and not even for your freshman year. For your senior year you would take English 101/102 here at the school, and that is the only Dual-Enrollment class you can take at the school. I mean let's face it, CTE's won't count towards a basic college degree. I went here for 1 1/2 years before I moved. I loved Tombstone for the people, but then I hated it for the education quality. The teachers are hit or miss. I would say going to tombstone did not prepare me for college.

Here's the thing. Forget the bad contents on here. We have 2 sons that have attended this school for 4 years now, and they have done excellent. They are seniors now. One who is ADHD finished in December short being an A student. His brother doesn't like school but he still passing. They will walk the stage in May. Despite what the negative comments are, or songs did well, played sports; football, basketball, and track. One going college and the other in the Air Force. The streets didn't get them and they are very smart and happy. Teachers, principal, and participation is great. We always have been able to talk with the school Anytime about out kids. Teachers either emailed, called or texted. Sorry to leave you but it their last year.
