My child complains about other kids being mean to her and these same kids are rude to staff. She tells me these kids come to school every day. Why are they never punished? My child does not like to go to school because the other children are rude and mean to the adults and the other kids in her class. Seems nothing is ever done about it. It's very frustrating and sad. I watch my child get depressed because nothing happens at the school to discourage problem behaviors. As soon as I can afford it, we will be moving. We will be moving out of this district. I do not suggest any child go to this school!

They are all in the same room no matter what. I volunteered at my child's school many times and it's obvious some kids are not in the classroom that meets their ability level. I'm not sure if they don't have supports staff, or why kids with severe emotional problems or so low in skills yet continue to be in same class. They just don't seem to have very good sense of when a child needs additional help and do not take the whole class down with them. My child's growth is stunted because the teachers trying to help and autistic child that can't even speak, that's in her same class. Why!!

They do nothing about bullying
Worst school for bullying
The kids bully staff
The bully each other
They bully parents that come in. I've had kids bully me when I've come to help out. It's awful.

So far, this school is horrible. they don't try very hard at anything. I rarely see staff. The lady's in the office only answer questions with "you can't" " can i come and visit my son in class?" " you can't" "Can I help out with anything?" " you can't" "Can i meet my sons teacher?" "you can't"
This school is not a good school. The fact that they dont encourage parent involvement bugs me. to build your children it takes a village. especially being so under funded, parent involvement is a great way to save on paying for things. I personally have no problem giving the school my money if they need it. but i will not if i cant visit my son, and meet his teacher. Also they post a School Supply list on their web page, But then when school starts they send back all the supplies you buy with a NEW school list. NOT OK this stuff is expensive. I spent 185 On the supplies they sent back. And i will not be buying the stuff from the other list. That is on the teachers and the school. They should of sent out a list or posted it on the webpage under 4th grade. I don't have any information on how to contact my sons teacher. So if something happens i cant just shoot her an email of call he direct line. I have to call the school then leave a message for her. which is a horrible way. Communication is worse when its being passed from a 3rd party. I would of like to know what kind of HW they send out, they do not see to encourage reading. My son says they kids are all out of control. Sometimes my son will pretend he doesnt have HW and i cant tell because the teacher hasnt said anything. no " the kids get hw everyday. or the kids have to read everyday for 30 mins. or the kids will have hm m-th but not on friday. Nothing.

My son got a math page, so far they have not pushed reading and the math that he is getting is simple adding he is in the 4th grade. They should have 30 mins of reading, and math, and what ever else they didnt finish in class.

I havent even meet the teacher. I have been told to wait until Oct, they dont want parent involvment. ( front office told me i could meet the teacher of have lunch with son on campus.)

My son has an IEP from another school. He was falling behind there, where as here he feels like he is the smartest one in the class.

If there was Leadership, I think the teachers would be more preped for school, and that they woud have a better PTO and more parent involvment and it would be allowed.

Not sure, we havent even had the yearly IEP meeting, nor has my son seen anybody for speech.

My son has mentioned a couple kids being bullys to the younger kids. Most schools fix this by seperating the younger kids recess from the older kids. This school does not.

My son completed his first year of school and is now in first grade. Overall, the school does a great deal to keep the parents informed of school activities and events. Only wish more after school sports were open to the younger kids. It's great to see all of the teachers visible in the morning greeting the kids and the Tuesday morning assembly is terrific to keep the kids motivated. The school has a great influx of children from other countries, which may be a reason for the lower scores, but overall, I don't think this impacts the level of commitment to the curriculum. My son was on track and ready for first grade. There is a great emphasis for the kids to be test-ready, which is okay because we made sure our son stayed on track with his homework and classroom participation. As with many of the in the area, funding is limited so there aren't teacher's aides in the classroom. Overall, this is a good school.
