The bullying after school is outrageous it seems like a few problems students that are reaching out for help get blacklisted and are automatically accused and made to feel like it's their fault regardless of who has started the problem. My daughter was involved in a scuffle with a bully and had her glasses broke when she was punched and all the school said was oh we are watching the other student but nothing ever came of it. Then we were told when we asked about the parents paying for my daughter's glasses we were told that not to bother the parents because the situation wouldn't be resolved because they are not the type to be confronted so we took the loss on the glasses. There has been many more incidences involving bullies that just get whitewashed over and forgotten about with no resolution.

Teachers do NOT care. Students that have problems are either swept aside or their problems ate made to seem like they aren't important.

No way, the school has no integrity and it seems like no one wants to take the time to help any other students they just want them to do enough to be passed on to the next person

The principal is the worst offender at the school. She is awful.she does not want to deal with any problems and wont. She talks down to parents and students. She will only address a problem if its one she feels like addressing and even then she will not get it resolved,she will just let it go and hope people forget.

I absolutely hate this school if they had a negative rating I would give them that. It is the absolute worst school I have ever dealt with in my years of going to school and in my years of being a parent I will withdraw my kids this year to get him out of this environment.

I am a big follower of education and moral principals at Esperanza my kids get it all.

I would stay far away from this school. Esperanza has zero spirit and that is because the principal has NO leadership skills. She doesn't like parent volunteers because you will find out how she runs the school. She is not well respected by teachers or staff and the culture at the school is extremely negative. There are no longer any organziations for parents to belong to because she has shut them down. There have been many parents that have tried to be involved and the principal has ran all of them off. She is very controlling and is only concerned about what the superintendent thinks about her. The superintendent has no idea how she runs the school and doesn't seem to care anyway that so many employees and parents are so unhappy. The superintendent has said "parents on this side of town don't want to get involved in their childs school".

If you love a school where the teachers and staff are under-appreciated, then Esperanza is the place for your child. The principal does not encourage volunteering, in fact, it is just the opposite. Once valuable, time-giving parents come in, she alienates them. The pricipal has zero leadership skills. She is very unprofessional in both her demeanor and speech. She cannot wait until her meeting with you is over. Her only interest is spreading word that "her" school is a TAP school. If she is not fond of an employee, she makes no bones about letting them know. Another thing a leader should not do is have favorites and SHE does. What is worse, is that no matter what she does, the superintendant stands behind her. So it does no good to really express ones concerns.
