Honestly I took my child to LATA and it was the biggest mistake Ive ever made. I came to this elementary school as a child and it just went down hill. They should have kept the old principal. The one that actually cared for the students. Instead they hired this man who could care less about the students and their health. He much rather take care of his teachers than a student that was getting bullied by his classmates AND TEACHER!!!! Absolutely awful. My child had a broken arm and had a cast and the teacher saw that and I didnt even hear about the incident until my CHILD told me what happened. If you want to bring your child here. Dont. You can find way better schools in the district this this terrible one. Please if you care and live your child dont bring them here. When I spoke to the principal he said he is taking the teachers side. Terrible school. Terrible teachers. And terrible principal. If I could give 0 starts I would. School went so downhill. Especially if you have a special needs child.

I dont know why Los Amigos has such a poor score. This is our 4th elementary school and by far our favorite. My boys have grown and learned so much over the last 3 years from such a wonderful staff.

A positive school climate promotes student learning and development. A school community where everyone feels safe, respected and engaged prepares children for life in a diverse and democratic society With this being said, this school lacks in understanding, their personal beliefs, perceptions are their own, and should not influence, how they treat and teach children, of any background, race, creed, sexual orientation. you are there, to guide, model good behavior, keep children safe, make them FEEL safe, and not encourage hate, bullying, and isolation, because of your personal beliefs. This school needs a good dose of training in the areas of Cultural Diversity, Professionalism, and ethics, and sensitivity training. This sort of behavior should not be tolerated, specially in a school setting.
