As a former staff member here, I would highly recommend that any future teacher become a member of multiple teacher unions. This school is notorious for running off good teachers and staff.

When this happens students are left bewildered and confused. The turnover rate at this school is staggering and there is a reason.

TeachersÂ’ meetings consist of gossiping about students, their families, and former staff.

Students, their families, and staff at this school are held within the evil eye of the administration.

BEWARE!

As Board President I am proud to serve this lovely school. We are fortunate to have very small class sizes with lots of opportunities for one on one interactions between teachers and their students. The multi age classrooms fluidly allow for students to work ahead of their age peers and get extra support when they fall behind. The emphasis on performing arts integration into instruction provides opportunities for students to shine and express their talents. The school has been recognized as a Golden Rule School and the whole campus focuses on learning to treat each other as they would want to be treated.

Class ratios too high, 3 grades taught by the same teacher, multiple unresolved issues with bullying, and teachers allegedly use the word "snitching" to encourage kids not to tell the teachers when others are acting inappropriately. One child in kindergarten cut my child's hair without consequences, nor did the teacher bring it up until asked! Additionally, they don't easily accommodate for dietary issues or allergies by providing other options; our previous school in Phoenix did this, so it is possible within the State. The principal seems to have minimal training with overseeing concerns professionally, which is understandable given her only experience was as a kindergarten teacher. The security measures are also greatly lacking throughout the campus. Overall, would highly recommend choosing any other school.

I love that this school combines whatever topic they have for example insects, and then teaches all subjects with the same topic, math reading science and then follows up with a performance for the quarter of what they learned I truly believe this helps all the kids really learn about each topic! Not just study for test then forget! They make it interesting and fun not only for kids but family as well. I would tell anyone to take there kid ther infact we recently moved put of district but they allowed us to continue and worked with us greatly

Ash creek is very big on teaching the kids respect , compassion, integrity and morals which for this age is great. It's always worked on through the year and I believe this school goes above what is normally taught.

The student teacher ratio is 1:8 each kid gets so much one on one time its amazing my son has autism and has done amazing here in other schools he fell so behind and they just kept him in one place. At ash creek they pushed him to a good point never over board and this last year he jumped 3 grade levels! My heart belongs to this school and the amazing staff! They have made a tremendous impact in my son and our family's life!

Personally I believe every school has them this one its easier to figure out who because it's so small. They do a wonderful job trying to stop anything before it becomes a problem. They take many steps before contacting parents and then any further changes is a group decision. They always take an small thing and make it a big known issue to make a point to all kids that this is not ok!

This school is amazing and should be on the top 10 of schools it has constantly been awarded national school choice award, the kids have gone and placed 1st and 2nd on essays, poetry contest through out the state. The only thing that brings down this school is the fact that there numbers for tests do not look good because of s few reasons. 1. They have small numbers so if one kid fails a test it makes all there stats. Drop low. 2. They do have alot of kids who need additional help so those kids test lower even though for that individual they may do great for what they started at. People should not just look at number with this school. But what they receive over all. This school does so many additional things. Having gardens working outdoors, working with local dairy learning about agriculture, cooking classes, art, music, drama, and more. Hands down best school I have ever had my son at.

the teachers go beyond usual standards to help the children not only learn the skills they will need but to understand what it is they learning about in fine detail.

i have truly never seen a school, even ones i have attended in my youth, take such an active roll in teachings of integrity, compassion, or respect they are certainly a school that i have my children going to because integrity is rare these days and this school goes above the standard and teaches these children in a way i wish i had learned.

the leadership at this school is outstanding. they involve not only parents but the community in what they teach and inform how they teach it.

Posted: May 15, 2018

being the parent of a child with learning differences this school its teachers and its leadership has made it easy for my child to succeed where my child did not elsewhere.

Posted: May 15, 2018

this school has a strict no bullying policy that i strongly agree with and support fully as a parent with 2 children

if there was a higher rating than listed i would rate from 1 to 10 as a 11. even if i moved out of the district i would make the drive to see to it that my children went to this school because of it's teachings, staff, leadership, and community involvement.

What I love avout Ash Creek is that the children have an opprtunity to integrate the arts into a learning experience. Their program is immaginative, with many guest artists in residence that offer their talents to expand the imaginations of children through music, art, and drama. It is fun even being a parent. I am thankful that me son attemds this school.
