I am a Class of 2024 graduate of Desert Mirage High. Throughout my four year experience enrolled on this campus I encountered multiple support from all staff, including counselors and program advisors. Not only are students supported with their own desires, but also encouraged to pursue further than initial goals. Granted the multiple offered AP courses, programs such as AVID, cooperate improvement with parents, and frequent check-ins from counselors, admin, advisors, and staff I was able to obtain a full ride scholarship to my dream school University of California Berkeley where I will major in Civil Engineering. This is a similar case for many of my peers who have received substantial scholarships covering the cost of higher level education. I am proud to call myself a Ram and am thrilled to come back to the Coachella Valley and appreciate future successful graduates emerging from Desert Mirage.

My experience at Desert Mirage High School has been wonderful. I am in an organization known as AVID and through here I have met so many incredible people. I have gained lifelong friends that help and support me whenever I need help. The teachers here have also been extremely supportive, for example, my teachers have offered me opportunities that are beneficial to me in the future. I am a first-generation student going into college and this means I have no experience on how to apply to schools, FAFSA, and scholarships. My counselors and teachers were there every step of the way to guide and help my through the applications. Now I am going to my dream school and through the help of my teachers and counselors I have been awarded a life changing scholarship that has allowed me to follow my dreams. Desert Mirage is a really good school and I would recommend it to others because it has opened the door to a bright future for me.

This is the 2nd year I have had the honor and privilege to serve and be part of the leadership team at Desert Mirage High School. I can attest firsthand to the love, dedication, and commitment from teachers, custodians, security, secretaries, counselors, cafeteria workers, wellness center, Latino Commission, health office, administrators, and all staff members towards our DMHS students and families. I am proud to be part of this great team.

This High School is by far "The Worst" on the planet! The have an inside never ending Joke of Racism by Students & Staff alike. You can never get ahold of the Principle or Teachers to address concerns or problems with Bullying. Thet teach Spanish as an Elective for a Second Language..."AS IF?" Ever student speeks Spanish but my kids...because they are ALL FROM MEXICO!!! Not fair treatment at ALL! My kids were very depressed and hated this school. Luckily we finally had the income to move to Indio so now they attend Shadow Hills High School where they are "VERY VERY VERY HAPPY" and are treated like Actual HUMAN BEINGS!!! By both staff and Students alike.

My kids faced Racist remarks daily at this school..and felt threatened every day they attended by both the staff & students alike! It's a HORRIBLE SCHOOL!!! If your "ANY RACE" but Hispanic. Do NOT send your kids if they are White. No one cares about them being successful at this school whatsoever!
