My experience with Johnston was very disappointing. The overall environment felt uncomfortable and not conducive to learning. I also found the staff to be unprofessional and, at times, dismissive of concerns that were raised.
When issues came up, there didnt seem to be a genuine effort to investigate or address them properly, which was frustrating. I expected a more supportive and respectful atmosphere, but that was not my experience. I hope the school takes steps to improve both its environment and how it handles concerns.

The teachers are ready and able to provide work as homework; the challenge is getting students to be invested in the completion.

This is a challenging area since 22 zip codes go to this school and many students struggle to be respectful to one another, but the staff don't give up on making it safe and dealing strongly with all who bully others.

My brother and I both went to this school and it was about 30 something years ago. That school and the teachers there changed my life.

James fenimore Cooper High? I attended this school over 30 years ago. Best school ever at least for me back then in my challenging teen years. I inlt left because i was movingbout of state. I hope it continues to do well. Best teachers ever with patience and passion forvtheirvwork in worling with high risk kids.
