I will be honest, I have been in the school for 8 years and the treatment there is really bad. The school has canceled many field trips and the school lunch is bad. This is a Muslim school and i'm not Muslim so I often get left out by the girls in my class they only come to me when they need something or they need help. The treatment is very bad There are a lot of fights and violence and the teachers don't do anything about it. The students are very rude and they are mean, they leave out students that are not Muslim ( me ) I feel really bad for that and I hate going to school because of it they only care about them. The school is very small and we have a lot of students and the equipment is very bad and not safe for the students. Don't trust people when they say that the school is good because it's not, so don't bring your child to this school. The thing that I would say is good is the teaching it is not that bad but it's not great.

I usually dont do reviews unless I have a concerns but though I should take a minute to express my feelings
Miss Fowsia at Iftin Charter School is truly a gift to the kindergarten class. This is the age when children are the most open, curious, and impressionable, and having a teacher like her at that stage is priceless. She is firm, consistent, and doesnt play around with her rules but she is also warm, caring, and completely focused on what is best for the children. That balance is exactly what our kids need on their very first steps in school.
There is a Somali saying: Haddii Alif kaa qaldamo, Baqarah kuma toosto.
In other words, If the foundation is weak, nothing built on top will be strong. Miss Fowsia is that strong foundation for our children. She teaches them not just letters and numbers, but respect, focus, and good habits that will help them for the rest of their lives. Any parent whose child has Miss Fowsia in kindergarten is truly blessed.

Personally being at this raggedy school it was horrible. They don't have any electives and no fun extracurriculars. The students there have no respect and are raised in a bad habitat. The teaching there isn't that bad but they barely di anything. They are constantly broke, and at my time being at this school they cancelled most of our field trips. There is only four classes and you guys stay witht the same people all day. If you're thinking about moving your child to another school it should DEFINITELY not be this school. One of the worst schools I've been to, and genuinely think it should be made into something new or either fire all of the people working there now cause they really aren't doing their job correctly!
