Our student attended connections academy both in New Mexico and in California for the last 3 years. we are so pleased with the curriculum and with a wonderful staff and the wonderful support they've given to our grandson. Thank you connections academy for all you do for the families.

I am thankful we had the option to join California Connections Academy. It was a perfect fit for my son after the covid mess that was created with the public school systems. It gave us stability, freedom and peace of mind. The staff have all been great. He was supported throughout his time here and excelled. Thank you again and we would recommend this school to other families.

Amazing . Best option for my kids Totally recommend The teachers are awesome always have good activities.Teacher are really involved .

To be fair my sons teacher has a lot of teaching experience & seems highly qualified. It's her personality I don't care for. It was also the customer service that made me feel there was a lot of socialization & there really isn't. I really felt like I was on a rollercoaster ride the entire time my son was enrolled. Initially it was hope that there would be a lot of social opportunities to the understanding that there wouldn't. Then it was the understanding that there would be a lot of teacher involvement, then the acceptance that there would be very little involvement, then living in the reality of being harassed constantly by the teacher. This school has a lot of potential but it's not there yet. Their customer service seems less sales like than some other online schools but they put waaayyy too much on the parents to be in charge of. The other online school we checked into uses blackboard which is great for interaction and keeping track of assignments. This school uses adobe which is great too for some things. Online schooling is the future but this school has less technology then my local public school that is running out of funds. They have a long ways to go.

When searching for a great school for my children, Connections advertised exactly the learning style we were looking for. Unfortunately, it has not been a good fit for us. It was not the "Learn at your own pace" program it was advertised to be. The curriculum is excellent, but the teachers are hit and miss. Some seem to really want to engage with the students (via internet or phone, of course) in order to help them achieve, while others seem not to care much. If your child is an advanced, self-motivated learner, (as one of mine is) this would be a good fit; however, if your child needs extra help, (like my other child), it will be a frustrating, often tearful experience for both you and your child. It seems hard for most of the staff to relate to and effectively teach to children with different learning styles. One of my children left this school after just one semester feeling completely defeated, while the other is still there. Constant parental invovement is a MUST! The parent is labeled the "learning coach" and it is an essential part of the program, which I enjoyed. Make no mistake, though. Parents are not treated as partners. I was often talked down to.
