I have been lucky enough to have 3 kids enrolled in this school. I can't imagine a better school experience for our children. Each teacher is personally invested in each student. ILCS values character such as integrity, service to others, loyalty, honesty, leadership, kindness, and diligence, as high as they value academics at this school. Leadership qualities such as these are instilled everyday in the way classes are taught, and how staff teaches and cares about the kids. Bullying is dealt with swiftly, and because of the environment that has been established, the kids often remind each other to be kind. When students are struggling, there are so many ways in which this school will reach out to help. There is before and after school tutoring. Often the teachers will reach out to parents personally if there is a concern and there is an open door policy when parents or students have questions about homework. Teachers respond quickly to emails as well. Students are also encouraged to help each other if their peers are not understanding certain concepts in the classroom. Every school should model themselves after Inland Leaders Charter School!

My daughter needs extra help in several subjects. There was always after school classes and on line help for her. She has done tremendously better at this school than any place else.

Posted: June 6, 2019

My daughter had a few incidents in 8 th grade. This is an age where it starts happening at any school. They were handled in a respectful and appropriate manner.

Posted: June 6, 2019

It is encouraged constantly in lessons and behavior on campus.

Posted: June 6, 2019

It is a strong overtone to every aspect of the school.

Posted: June 6, 2019

They give just enough to help reinforce what was taught that day. It is never excessive or time consuming.

Posted: June 6, 2019

Every teacher has amazing qualities. They are all happy and caring people who really love their jobs.

Posted: June 6, 2019

Absolutely the best school to reinforce every quality you want in your children. The staff lead by example. They are all kind, respectful and love what they do. My children have thrived way beyond what a regular public school education had been giving them.

Posted: June 4, 2019

The staff all lead by example. The teachers hold themselves to a higher standard just like they do our children.

Posted: June 4, 2019

They understand that not every child learns the say way. Our kids are given such great opportunities via all the avenues they use for teaching.

Posted: June 4, 2019

They do not tolerate bullying. The teach our kids how to build each other upinstead of tearing each other down.

Posted: June 4, 2019

Yes the children are given many different ways to do homework. It is via different media like through art, writting, computer, and ect.

Posted: June 4, 2019

The teachers work to meet each student at their level. They understand that not everyone learns the same way.

Posted: June 4, 2019

It is by far one of the best schools around. The staff and the teachers care about our kids and their education.

Posted: June 4, 2019

A perfect example: Times I have been on campus and working on a teacher's door, kids would pass me by and see me working or carrying something and always someone will ask if I need any help. I see the kids, from time spent on campus and in the classroom, being kind to one another, picking up things someone else has dropped, encouraging other students.

Posted: June 4, 2019

I love that ILCS puts LEADERSHIP as such a high priority each and every day. Every time I am on campus, it is so clear that the kids are being taught leadership skills that they will use the rest of their lives.

Posted: June 4, 2019

My two daughters struggle academically. ILCS does an awesome job at coming alongside them to assist them, whether it's having an aide helping out in the class to read the question to her or having Success Academy available, having meetings with me to discuss their needs and progress. My daughters have improved so much with the additional help from the very well-trained, loving teachers and staff.

Posted: June 4, 2019

My girls have never had an issue with bullying. When my son attended ILCS, in middle school, there was an issue he was having with one child in particular. After bringing it to the school's attention, it was dealt with immediately, without making either child feel like the outcast. My husband and I, along with my son, were allowed time to talk to his teacher, the principal. I loved the way it was handled, where both boys were brought together, got to know each other, talked things out. It taught them both how to handle differences in a mature way, to see both sides of a situation, to see how both might be feeling in the situation. They handled it great. The teachers made sure to keep an eye on both boys to make sure the problem was resolved.

Posted: June 4, 2019

Posted: June 4, 2019

The teachers are amazing!!!! They care so much about each child and how well they are doing as a person, not just academically. They are so conscious that the children are being kind to one another through their words and actions. And the teachers all seem to work so well together and get along so well.

Posted: June 4, 2019

I love ILCS. I feel so blessed to have my three kids be part of such an amazing school. It feels so much like a family as soon as you come onto the campus. My kids are cared for and safe and getting the academic attention they each need. There isn't one thing I could complain about regarding the school, teachers, staff, policies. Best school around.

Posted: June 4, 2019

From our experience, students tend to actually get in trouble when they behave inappropriately. There are consistent consequences. It’s a shocking concept.

Posted: June 4, 2019

Each student has to do a community service project each year starting in kindergarten. It has helped teach our kids from a young age how important it is to help and serve others.

Posted: June 4, 2019

Posted: June 4, 2019

Posted: June 4, 2019

We have been very pleased with ILCS. Our kids are excelling, and they love school. We love that the class sizes are smaller than the local district. When our son needed extra support in reading and writing, he was given additional tutoring in a small group setting before or after school once a week. The one on one, or small group, instruction was a huge benefit, and as a result, his reading improved drastically over the course of one school year. We highly recommend ILCS.

Posted: June 4, 2019

In a time when most schools are going away from homework, I can say that our kids have at least some homework almost every night, even if it’s only 20 minutes of reading. We feel that it is preparing our students to be successful throughout school and life. Success requires hard work.

Posted: June 4, 2019

The teachers at ILCS have been amazing. They have helped our kids grow in so many ways. Our son came into Kindergarten below his peers. His biggest area of concern were letters and reading/writing. By the end of 1st grade, he is now reading at almost a 3rd grade level, but more importantly, he loves reading now and always had a book in his hands. We couldn’t be happier.

Posted: June 4, 2019

They are teaching the children to be leaders and be a part of the community and to serve others.

My daughters kindergarten teacher is an amazing teacher, her energy, devotion and drive/passion far surpasses ANY other teacher which I’ve had throughout my school years! The school teaches our children to be strong leaders who are compassionate, thoughtful and fair to others. Teaching our children to be accountable for their actions as well as taking care of their environment.
The personal attention given to each student is what allows them to absorb information so quickly. The support of the AMAZING volunteer parents also strongly contributes to a successful learning environment. Bullying isn’t tolerated here, children are corrected verbally and taught to be thoughtful and compassionate with their classmates.

Posted: June 4, 2019

This school helps the students to be accountable for themselves and they learn how to care for others...unlike any school I have had any of my kids in!

Positive in every way, especially the caring, passionate teachers!

Posted: June 4, 2019

At the beginning of the year students were bullying another kid and with one report it was handled and I haven't heard anything but good news. The students are encouraged to report anything that does not fit in their leadership model, and the principal listens. My kids feel welcome and safe everyday.

Posted: June 4, 2019

Approachable, proactive, and so responsive to any issues.

Posted: June 4, 2019

My children are not on any specific learning plans, so I am not familiar with this area. I have not heard complaints and they offer many avenues for support and success when my children have struggled.

Posted: June 4, 2019

My child has not experienced being bullied at this school, has made friends for the first time and is genuinely happy.

Posted: June 4, 2019

I think the smaller class size matters and this helps kids to get the help and attention they need and the teachers are phenomenal role models

Posted: June 4, 2019

The best experience I've ever had in any school, blessed to be a part of it. My child is thriving here.

Posted: June 4, 2019

Assigned homework in not overwhelming but an extension of what they've learned in class. My child had no issues completing it.

Posted: June 4, 2019

They are so incredible, care about what they are doing and each kid matters.

This is one of their biggest things they talk about and rewards go out to those practicing leadership.

Posted: June 4, 2019

I’ve seen so many kids with different needs that need to be met here and they are very well taken care of.

Posted: June 4, 2019

Honestly, I don’t feel like there’s a better school out there and I’m not kidding. This is such a close school. I feel like so many parents know the teachers and vise versa. So much parent involvement and I’ve never seen anything like it. It really is an amazing school and I just can’t tell you how many amazing people are here. From the kids, to the teachers, to the principal and everyone in the office. The things they teach the kids. I just can’t give this school enough praise!!

Posted: June 4, 2019

They immediately handle these situations (as long as they know about it) and they are very into what everyone is doing.

Posted: June 4, 2019

I can’t begin to explain how amazing these teachers are. Just when I think my kids had the best teacher, the next grade has another amazing teacher. Not only have my kids had great teachers, but the other teachers my friends got for the same grade, were so amazing too. They are just wonderful

Posted: June 4, 2019

Yes! Every adult in that school is teaching and helping these kids with respect and teaching them how to be great human beings and that is more important than so many things.

Posted: June 4, 2019

The school teachers the kids in importance of being a leader as well as following a leader.

Posted: June 4, 2019

All school work is tailored at the Childs level. they are challenged if needed and are met with patience if they are struggling in areas. they also off a mandatory after school program called success academy for kids that are having difficulty understanding certain aspects of the curriculum.

Posted: June 4, 2019

Posted: June 4, 2019

They do not overwhelm the kids with homework. They give them just enough.

Posted: June 4, 2019

Teachers are friendly and kind towards the students. The work with your child if they are struggling.

Posted: June 4, 2019

The school uses the acronym ROAR to teach good character.

Posted: June 4, 2019

Both of my children have had an excellent experience. this school has challenged them academically. they are also afforded opportunities like after school programs in cooking, music, art and STEM that other schools are not capable of.

One of my children attended 6-8 here and my other child is a current middle school student. I can't say enough about how great our experience has been at this school. The teachers have been amazing. Academics are great. After-school electives have been great. Both of my children established strong and healthy friend groups at ILCS. We also did one year of the independent study program when we did not make the lottery our first year. That program was outstanding as well. I couldn't have hoped for a better middle school experience.

Cheap, new teachers. Little experience or tenure

The students and parents genuinely believe this place is astronomically better than any other school in the city. After spending a total of 4 years here and 3 years at other schools in the area, I can honestly say it is very average. The atmosphere is clique-sh and there is a major bullying problem for kids who go to other churches from most of the kids here. Parents act like the school is private and seem to forget it's a public school. Admin needs help keeping the standards and rules the same for everyone.

Not attentive to the needs of the students if there is a problem. Big bullying issue here. School board kids and staff kids have a different set of rules... Just ask the principal that gets cussed out by a child on a weekly basis!

This school started with a great philosophy but the management don't know how to keep a professional environment. They are growing too fast and they can't handle. There are a bunch of moms involved with their own personals agendas and they have created an atmosphere of gossiping. If they like you, you are ok if they don't like you, you are going to be out of the click therefore your kids are not going to be part of the important stuff. Some teachers are very rude and they can't even say hi after years of seeing your face and some moms are extremely rude. The principal supports this behavior and the director is friendly to whoever he decides. I don't think is a healthy environment to teach your kids by example in any means.

#3 of 3 The religious part of it is something you would see anywhere. They never meet on campus and nothing they ever do is sponsored or supported by the school. The electives program is excellent. Many of the programs are supplemented monetarily by the school through fundraising and donations. There are only a couple electives that are expensive, and scholarships are provided for those classes if needed. Each student is required to do six or more hours of community service and do a presentation on it, even the TKers. They are also required to learn a new leadership trait each month, write about it, and present it to the class. Then, there are three to four people chosen from each class that show the most leadership skills for that particular trait. This happens every month. Overall, the best school in this city and surrounding areas hands down.

#2 of 3 The past five years have shown tremendous growth in all areas and it has been handled well by the director. He has hired the most amazing people to make this school run smoothly. Every school has areas that do not run smoothly, but I have found that is because the parents are not following through appropriately. Anything you need to know is on their website, each teacher has a website, and they send out weekly announcement. If there is a person who is uninformed, it is entirely their fault. There is an atmosphere of teamwork and accountability with teachers, parents, and students. I believe they are doing a great job teaching our kids independence. As far as the clique feel, I think that will happen anywhere. In the younger grades, room moms work hard to make things run smoothly and they spend a lot of time together, so of course they are going to become friends. 99.9% of the parents at this school are fantastic and have made the commitment to their child's education. Those are some great stats and you will not find that at another school.

#1 of 3 ILCS. My daughter was fortunate enough to qualify for the Transitional Kindergarden program. She finished the year reading at a first grade level. Her math was at the kinder level. She left kinder reading at a fourth grade level and math was at a high second grade level. My son is in the fourth grade and is reading at an eighth grade level and his math is at a sixth grade level. Class sizes are kept small and there is ample support from administrators and parents alike. This is made possible by the administration allowing, and encouraging, their teachers to teach to the level of each student. This is not an easy task, but these teachers are amazing. They are constantly adjusting to meet the needs of each student. As a parent, I am extremely grateful for their hard work and dedication to these kids from both the parents and the administrators.

Used to love this school from 2007-2011. It's grown too large and changed. Lost sight of the vision. Such a shame. Now it's very average, and I agree with other reviewers there is a clique -y atmosphere. Public school but feels religious too.

The reputation of this school is quite good which is why we have placed our granddaughter in the lottery. We would like to know when the lottery is active and children chosen and when notification of the accepted students are available. This information has not been readily available, at least, as far as we have been able to note. We are hoping that our granddaughter will have the opportunity to experience this well regarded school.

Amazing school with a higher level of challenge than any other school I have experienced. Students are expected to be leaders and there is a high standard of behavior expected. Discipline at the school is strong and students feel safe and supported. The school is hard to get into due to the lottery and demand for the program. Teachers and administration have a great vision for what students need to be successful citizens. Thank you Inland Leaders for the best education in the area.

My oldest daughter is currently finishing her 3rd year & my middle daughter, her 1st and we continue to be blown away by the phenomenal level of education at Inland Leaders! The teachers are committed to the students and always thinking of new ways to keep them learning and interested in the work. My 2nd graders reads at a 5th grade level and my kindergartner at a 2nd grade level! I was super nervous about public school due to the fact that the state lifted the restrictions on class size the year my oldest started school and every day am thankful we got into ILCS from the beginning. They offer awesome electives (yes, the parents pay for part or most of the cost, but it's worth it!), and the teaching strategies are great. I also love that this school incorporates teaching values each month (ie, service, generosity, determination, etc) The parents are also very involved beyond what I've expected. I would give more stars if I could :)

We feel so blessed to have found this school. After having our children is the Yucaipa public school for years, we heard about ILCS and put our youngest in the transitional kindergarten class. After a couple weeks at this school, we put our older two kids on the waiting list. We have a 5th and 3rd grader. We are so impressed with the teachers and the quality of education our daughter is receiving. We pray our older two kids get picked for the lottery for next year.
