To begin, as a student myself, the teachers here do care about their students even if they don't seem like it. Sooner or later, one can realize the lesson that the teacher was trying to implement into you through their way of teaching. In my opinion, none of the teachers here are strict and want students to engage in learning. However, the reason that rating for this school is 2/5 stars and I do not recommend it is because of the student community. To emphasize, I believe that the students here are at fault for many problems that occur. I see many disrespectful acts in some of my classes and outside of them during break times such as disrespectful screaming and yelling. Many are also in fear of becoming a target on online social media accounts that bully students. To add on, there have been cases of confirmed vandalism in the restrooms, vaping in the female restrooms, and stealing school property. Even though, they don't allow the usage of restrooms as a way I believe to discipline the students. But in all due respect, the school has suspended or expelled students who do this type of behavior which brings relief. However, the student community is still disrespectful and irresponsible to the teachers and their peers. To add on, I see on a daily basis that many students refuse to learn and do not try at all in this school. Rather, I believe they do not care at all if they ruin the experience of learning for others such as myself. The school uses the words, "Respect, Responsibility, and Kindness", as a way to try to improve student character; however, many of the student community treat it as a joke and do not pay any interest in it at all. Learning is a privilege for all and if that privilege is treated with such disrespect then there is no need to give them this privilege at all. Although I do not specialize in the field of discipline and the rules, I believe that physical discipline is needed to be established for these issues. To add on, this is for all schools that they need to all intervene in a student's environment such as their home. For example, behaviors of such wrong acts are due to their home environment such as parents and more. If schools would be given the permission to intervene in the students' environment in order to fix the problem from its core then issues like vandalism would barely occur in my own personal opinion. To conclude, until the student community is improved, I do not recommend this school. Sincerely, a student of DSJI

This school is decent. (but if you're wondering why it's not a 5 star ill go in-depth as I explain.) The teachers here are great! They teach students very nicely and are usually pretty nice. Kids here are fine, I don't have a problem with some of them, but some of them here are not the best. This school has lots of racism here, especially the kids being racists. They always say racial slurs (n-world specifically) and say pretty messed up things sometimes it's racist, even tho they say it's a joke, but jokes are supposed to be funny. I also think that the staff could a little better to control some of the kids here because I know they know that the kids who are racist are disrespectful, but I don't know why they can't see that they're also racist. I also think the dress code here is dumb. People should wear what they want ESPECIALLY the girls, it's crazy how they take people out of class just to have them change. It's not their fault that people can't control themselves over a shoulder or stomach. Overall, this school is decent, the staff is okay, but I think they can do better controlling the disrespectful kids and changing the dress code rule.

The teaching experience is pretty great I would say. However, a lot of the students don't treat others nicely. The supervisors also don't pay attention very much.

This is an OK school. I am a 7th grader and attended this school because all my friends were going but once I attended I noticed all the school cared about was putting kids in detention. My friend went to detention just because she accidentally dropped her perfume can for pe and it broke letting out a the scent. Also students their use a lot of bad language and lots of bullying that the teachers don't even notice! Another thing all the teachers do when you don't do we'll is YELL AT YOU they don't even help!!! I hope this year goes by soon so I can get outta this place!

Jordan Intermediate School is an excellent school to go to. The principal is wonderful and is running the school perfectly. The teachers and staff are so kind to everyone. First, the P.E. program is doing their best to keep the schools equipment long lasting. They even have different color shirts in P.E. to encourage kids to do their best. Jordan also has a great mathematics program. Jordan's math teachers teach the Jordan scholars fast and easy techniques to be successful in mathematics. They also teach language, science and history. Jordan Intermediate also has good electives. The electives are band and strings which u learn or practice playing instruments like flute, violin, and clarinet. Choir which u learn the basics of singing and performing. Computer Essentials where you learn the basic techniques in computers. Young Living where u learn to become a young adult. In that class you learn to sew & cook.. Another elective is art where you learn to become a great young artist. Lastly, there is a wonderful AVID program which can help you in your college application and being an individual academic learner. Finally, I recommend you to go to Jordan Intermediate.
