Your sports programs should have a no cut rule. As a teen there is a desire to belong and self esteem at this age is highly important. I feel this subject matter is and should be a high priority of discussion with all your sports coaches and LEADERS. Its not always about winning but your desire is help a child grow and lessons learned along this path.

Some teachers are good at posting homework assignments, others are not.

Students whose parents work for the school district are given the highest grades, receive the most scholarship money and are given the most accolades.

Our daughter went to Cabrillo for two years and was crushed when we had to move her senior year. A very good school. Our daughter loved her graphic arts class and teacher. The school offered some great electives.

Looking back, I realize we did not have very much homework. Usually the only class I had homework in was math. Ocassionally, there was a little in the others.

I dont care what anyone else says....I love this school with all my heart. I only attended freshman year here, and wish I could have attended more. I live in Germany now. They have really good electives, many to choose from, many different sports, and the dress code is a bit more strict this year apparently than previous years. I met the best friends in my life at cabrillo. Yes, there are many couples showing affection but it's that way at almost all high schools...they're teenagers. I miss this school SO MUCH and would basically do anything to go back. When I visit over the summer, I will go to the school and reminense. If you come here, you will NOT REGRET IT. Cabrillo Pride Forever <3

As a former student, my time spent here wasn't that great when it came to academics. I have been to previous high school before Cabrillo were I was challenged in my school work. Going to Cabrillo make me feel like I was wasting my time. All my course work was joke and/or a repeat of my previous 3 years of high school.

I being a military kid have gone to many different schools but Cabrillo High School is the worse school that I have attended. Over 1/3 of the freshmen students get pregnant and people seem surprise if you leave here without having a child. The amount of students getting high and wasted is insane and out of control and the teachers and staff don't really care. Teachers will also fib students grades is they beg enough, getting an A is pretty easy but earning it is a different story. Teachers also don't truly teach either, they're more interested in the students personal life's and love sharing theirs. There is absolute no dress code either at this school, the staff "cracks down" on some students for having shorts that are barely shorter than their fingertips while other students have half of their butt showing and their stomachs exposed and no one cares. Colored hair is supposedly not aloud but lots of people hair red, purple, blue, pink, and green hair. Many students love to show affection at lunch and before school so many couples spend all their time sucking each other's face and all on top of each other. Used condoms are not an unusual thing to find around campus.

Cabrillo has had the Air Force JROTC for a little over two years. The instructors are not able to agree on which door to walk the students through let alone what they will teach them on a day to day basis or who will get to wear which "special" green uniform. If a student has a high ranking military parent, THAT child will get the special treatment, never mind whether or not he or she can actually offer anything to the program on his or her own. Equipment has been stolen from the room while these instructors hold the watching students up to be "outstanding" examples. The core values that should be taught are only words; in actuality it's who you know, step on the little people and do the best you can for yourself. That's what the lt. colonel has taught by example and the msgt. has only proven that screaming in the faces of adolescents does no good whatsoever.
