We have been at Crestview for the past 2 years (K and 1st) and we love it. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The principal (2025) is wonderful and truly cares about the children at this school.

This school is awful. My children only attended for an month until multiple safety concerns occurred. They have staff that resigns a lot and the discipline for the students is non existent.

Had to disenroll my children due to racism and bullying from the children and the staff members. My children were dreading every morning before school and came home like they were shells. The school did not record several instances of other children calling my children the "n" word because they verbally reported that it does not meet their criteria for bullying. They teach a curriculum that is outdated and are not receptive to feedback from parents on how to create an inclusive learning environment that better reflects the experiences and needs of all students.

The principals only lead their teachers to do what is in the best benefit of the school and not the child.

They refuse to help children with adhd and hfa! They will call your child aggressive or threatening!

They allow white children to call other kids the “n” word but are quick to punish black children.

This school is horrible. Manzanita is a better choice for kids.

These teachers do not care nor try to care or help children who have disabilities that you can’t see. They are quick to punish and slow to understand. You will often find kids sitting on benches facing towards the parking lot as a form of cruel punishment.

We had two kids here for two years, 2014-2016. The leadership only cares about test scores, not each child's learning needs. Our advanced child was forced into busy work. The gifted program is garbage. We did have some great teachers. I feel like the teachers do their best in the persmiters they are given. Most of the teachers seem to really care. We were lucky enough to have Dr. Faulk as the principal for a year before he retired. All of the kids LOVED him. He was like a rockstar. The atmosphere of the school seemed drab after he retired.

My kids went to Crestview for one year and ok if you needed a place to drop your kids off for free time. It is a school that teaches only for standardize testing, not for improving your child education level. There was a hand full of good teachers, but that was it. It's not a school that will push your children to be better and they cover a lot of things up when it comes to reporting problems. For what it is worth it is one of the better public schools in the area of Lompoc. It's best to homeschool your child or send them to school in Orcutt. Santa Maria has a couple of good private schools.

this school is one of the best I ever went to. The teachers and principal are amazing. My sister asked Dr.Faulk if we could have a 70s/80s dance and a month later, guess whose school had a dance? Unlike some other schools, they actually listen to their students. Overall, 5 stars!!!

My children spent three years at Crestview and loved each year!!! The Crestview Staff work as a team and help to create a positive learning environment for the children. The principal, Dr. Ken Faulk, is always available and does a fantastic job as a leader and as a principal. The PTA does a phenomenal job of hosting activities that are fun and contributes funds for programs such as Razzle Bam Boom, Zoo to You, Art, and Band. We miss our Crestview Family!!

We absolutely love Crestview! The teachers are wonderful and do a great job working together. My son is in kindergarten and every single kindergarten teacher knows him an welcomes him when they see him. The principal is amazing! He is very involved with the students and is always available to help whoever needs it - a teacher, a students, parents. He isn't just a guy in the office. The PTA is very active, and parents are very involved. Everyone really works as a team here, and we have loved it. It is a wonderful little community that we are happy to be apart of.

My son attended Crestview last year and we left. It was too competitive and there are only a handful of good teachers. If you get one of them, you are doing great there but if you get a teacher that is there on their tenure, you are not. Sad, cute school.

Do not be fooled by the high test scores, they are simply a result of students that transfer in from schools in states with higher academic standards. As this school is on a military base, frequent influx of children from higher achiving schools helps the facade and portrays the school as high achieving when in reality this is actually average compared to most. The principal is unhelpful if you are experiencing any issues. My sons attended this school and I was unhappy with the overall level of teaching and had to remove my children.

My daughter has been attending Crestview Elementary for three years now and has loved it. The students are almost always happy and even excited to go to school and my daughter has loved all of her teachers so far. The teachers are great with the kids and put extra effort in to making sure that the kids are successful and motivated. The environment is loving and well structured and leaves both the students and their parents feeling safe and secure. Our family just loves Crestview!

I cannot speak highly enough about Crestview Elementary. In particular the teachers and Principal, Dr Faulk. We moved to the US from The United Kingdom (we are British) last year. My daughter was terrified at the prospect of attending not only a new school but in a new country where she knew nobody. Her teacher (Mrs Mitchell) was outstanding and instrumental in ensuring a smooth transition from the British school system. Similarly the Principal, Dr Faulk went out of his way to approach us every day and find out how we were and check everything was ok. My daughter is thriving in this school and has now been placed on the GATE program. I would recommend this school to anyone and I am thankful my daughter has the opportunity to attend such an amazing school.

The office staff, principle, and teacher feel like family! They take the time to get to know their students. The PTA is wonderful and works so hard to provide every great opportunity for the children. We love Crestview!

We love Crestview Elementary! The teachers, principal, and staff are amazing! The PTA works hard to provide all of the students with extra curricular activities that would have otherwise been cut due to budget cuts. My children are always eager to go to school because they are so proud to be Crestview Cougars!

This school tries very hard to work with every dollar they have... PTA is wonderful, they work tirelessly to make sure the kids have fun events, extra activities; like dances, Harry Potter Club, Band, etc. to name a few. The Principal welcomes everyone, every morning without fail. The kids are eager to learn!

Crestview's test scores look very good, but I think it should be noted that this school has a limited number of second language learners and special education students compared to other schools in this district. The principal is notorious for quickly transferring children that have special needs out of his school; it is assumed by many that this is simply so that these children do not negatively affect the test scores of his school. If you have children with special needs, do not waste time dealing with this principal. You will waste your child's precious time. As a parent with children who did not have special needs, I found that my child with above average abilities was also NOT challenged. Because he did not present as a behavior challenge either, he was left to languish. For all of the fuss over their high test scores, one has to ask, how could they NOT be a distinguished school with minimal special education students, minimal second language learners, plugged in parents (as bases usually have), and students that transfer in from schools in states with higher academic standards. This school is actually average compared to most.

We loved this school and miss it! The academic criteria is by far one of the best in this county. They encourage children to be the best they can be and are dedicated in seeing children succeed. I loved seeing the Principle out every morning saying good morning to the students and parents. To me, this showed he really cared about the students. In addition I loved the organization this school has and the PTA is outstanding! My son came home everyday happy and excited about returning the next day:)
