Dont recommend. They require kinder kids to be dropped off on the side of the school and then find their way to their classroom inside the school while intermixing with all grade levels. The school wants parents kept out at all costs, does not want parents walking kids up, and the principle isnt friendly. Their pickup system makes no sense, be prepared to wait longer than normal. My kindergarter cried many mornings going to this school and we pulled her out after a few short months.

My son has ADHD. The school refuses to make reasonable accommodations including discussing his learning needs with new teachers. Additionally my son always gets assigned to new teachers who dont have much teaching experience.

My son has special needs. It doesnt seem like the school is interested in helping him achieve success. Instead they dont want to deal with him.

I am new to the area, so far all my experiences have been great here. The staff and teachers which I have met all are quite nice. My daughter came from a private school and really enjoys the school here.

Joshua Tree Elementary School has the most disrespectful administration and staff. I have tried calling the office and telling them their staff members need to be kinder to parents and children, it didn't do any good. If you want to have lunch with your child you can't, when you pick up your child you can't go to them, you have to stand behind a line and wait. This is a prison for you and your child, I'll never let my child attend this school again!

The staff and administration are the bullies, as far as I can see, my child has been going to this school for 3 months.

Teachers don't let you be a part of this school, so I can't answer this particular question.

They did not listen to anything I have said, whether my comments were good or bad.

A very good community based, close knit school. My children loved the staff and the activities.
We will miss the school and the sense of community.

I have two children who attend Joshua Tree Elementary School. I have been very impressed with the level of dedication and professionalism of the teachers, administrator and staff. The teachers care about the students and spend countless hours volunteering before and after school to ensure the students are getting extracurricular activities, such as theater. All of the teachers I have come in contact with seem to genuinely care about their students and want to do everything they can to help them succeed. I am proud to say my children are "Owls" of Joshua Tree Elementary School!

My son is in Mary Lou Mohns special Ed Pre-School. Before he started the class at the age of 3 he was diagnosed with a lot of disorders at Loma Linda Childrens Hospital. He had speech delays, prevasive developmental disorder, ADHD, Sensory processing disorder, seizures, etc. After 7 months of going to this class he started increasing his vocabulary and his behaviors went from at least one tantrum per hour to maybe one or two if any per week. He no longer needs Speech therapy or occupational therapy. Pacific Clinic therapist attributed his progress to Mary Lou. Up until then nothing worked. They had 5 adults working with the kids when I was there which makes the staff to student ration very high. My son really likes one of the teachers in the class named Dana.

Very disappointed in the Principal and 6th grade teacher, Mrs. H. they are not there for the enrichment of children. They both should be ashamed at destroying self-esteem in children. I'm appalled, really!

Fantastic school! Since transferring here, our daughter has felt much more secure. The principal and teachers are very dedicated to providing the best eduction possible to the students. The staff is also professional and caring.

Scraping the bottom of the barrel for teachers or any of the staff period. Selling my house just to move my children to another school. Keep your kids away

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Also my 2 grandchildren go there and they love their school and teacher as well.
