My child started kindergarten here last year. He had a great school year last year, and is having another great year this year in 1st. He is excited to go to school, enjoys the teachers, feels safe and has nothing but great things to say when I ask him, "How was your day?" I love that this is a small school, but I do wish the district would stop making multigrade level classes. That is the one complaint I have- but that is directed at the school district that makes schools do that. Every time I go to the school it is a very positive experience

honestly I have had my children enrolled in one of thetop schools/district in California. Naturally I was conflicted with sending my kids to a school in this area. I could not see a school being anything but garbage being out here.I am here to tell you landers elementary and its staff completely changed my impression of the school. I can safely say this is the best school my children have attended. they love the school as do mom and myself too. they work so hard to get the families involved often with after school events or reaching out to parents. great school for you children to learn and grow in

The staff is excellent. Very family oriented and spend a lot of one on one time with students and parents to help students succeed.

Best principal ever. planning, overseeing, and participating in multiple fundraising events to ensure the students lack for nothing . He would if necessary give his own shoes to a student if they needed them :)

Support staff is always available and ready to help any student in need . whether it's speech , attention , reading , etc. there is always someone to help.

There is no bullying . Students for the most part are very respectful of one another and get along great. disagreements are usually squashed over tether ball matches :)

homework assigned is often oriented toward helping students in problem areas. Very helpful getting students to gain understanding in areas where they may be falling short.

A school is only as good as the parents that get involved. Communication is the key. I have had great communication with no issues.

I have had 5 children and now my foster son go to LES. My 5 went all to become attributes to society thanks to the part of the LES staff. My foster son has told me that he feels safe and secure and that the staff is family. He has excelled since being at LES. Coming from another school in the district where he was lost. Can't thank the staff enough for keeping me informed.

FOR A SCHOOL THAT IS WAY OUT OF TOWN THERE IS ALL LOT OF LEARNING GOING ON. LAST YR. THIS SCHOOL WOULD HAVE RECEIVED A TOTAL UNSATISFACTORY FROM MOST OF THE PARENTS THAT WE HAVE TALKED TO. THIS YR. THERE ARE WILLING TO HELP THE SCHOOL ALL THEY CAN BECAUSE IS HAS IMPROVED 1000%. THE STAFF NOW SHOWS INTEREST ON THE STUDENTS AND NOT ON THEM SELF. LAST YR. THE STAFF SEEM KIND OF UNFRIENDLY. THE CHANGE IS UNBELIEVABLE. THE IMPROVEMENT CAN ONLY COME FROM THE PARENTS. THE STAFF IS ALREADY DOING OVER AND ABOVE.

My students prevoiusly went to this school. I believe that my kids were not getting the help they needed and they were not treated well. Never put your kids in LES!

I'd like to know who posted this last comment. I find it offensive, to say the least. My children have been attending this school for over 7 years and I have never seen any evidence of prejudice. Because of the small enrollment, all children benefit from additional help if their assessments show they need it. NOT based on race, but based on academic achievement. Landers Elementary is a fabulous school where ALL children get the best education possible. If only every school could benefit from such a caring environment!

My children and now my grandchildren attend this school and I think this is an excellent school. I agree with the fact that our smaller school offers a greater advantage to the students I have never seen any evidence of any racial preferences in the over 15 years I have had children attending here.....All the children are loved equally and are treated with respect regardless of their ethnicity...one of my students attending for the past six years is racially mixed and NEVER has he been treated differently......this is a wonderfully parent involved school that truly has a dedicated staff......We love Landers Elementary School.....
