My son has to hold his urinate everyday because he is not comfortable going to the restroom since he has witnessed some older kids vaping in there. It seems like they have had this problem for a long time and I wonder why it hasn't been resolved? There was one time that my son couldn't hold his urinate anymore and he tried to look for a restroom, but all of them were closed right after school. I am not sure if that's the way for this school to solve the problem about kids vaping by locking the boys restrooms after school? Also, it's so hard to get a hold of a counselor here. They don't respond back to emails or calls. This school is so unorganized. It's so frustrating.

Being a student here I’ve always been to the restrooms where other students would be smoking weed and vaping. The school doesn’t do anything and care more about the school funding while the restroom are hotboxed everyday while I'm just trying to use the restroom.

This school has so much bully’s the smoke dectors go off every minute almost half the school smokes and I see a lot of people get bulied

This is a great school. My son has done very well, and standards are kept high. The teachers are highly qualified and professional. This is a very large school with a lot of kids, and no school is perfect, but this comes close. I'm looking forward to having my other son start there in a couple of years. There is also assistance in getting prepared for college for anyone who needs it. There is tutoring available, as well as Saturday school and summer school. There are social activities, dances, clubs, ROTC, and more. There is a public bus stop right on the corner for any student who needs a ride to or from the school.

No AP classes.
Counselors are LAZY and unsupportive. Told my son to get a spanish speaking girlfriend so he can do better in spanish class!
Try to find the principle, never in the office at lunch or after school.
Try to be out sick then request make up work or take home work or extended time to turn in home work, good luck.
This school is made for people who don't get sick, who don't need a counselor who don't play sports or go to school dances.
It's another California plan to fail our kids kind of school.

The courses are boring and too easy. There is no intellectual stimulation for GATE students. The principal treats parents with disrespect. The best thing about this school is that the custodial staff keep it super clean.

The conditions are the worst and the schoolwork is not at all challenging. there are a large amount of classrooms with no ac and there aren’t enough teachers so all of the classes are around 36 students or more. The classwork is extremely easy and the lessons being taught seem like they should be taught to an elementary school level. If this school is one of the best in the district, then i am afraid to see the other schools. By far the worst high school i have ever come across.

10 out of 10 Patrick Henry offers so much help. They have tutoring and teachers stay afterschool if a student needs help.

Overall positive as a parent. The school work is challenging, most of the teachers are professionals and take their jobs seriously. Other teachers are aloof and petty. Good school though. I like the principal.

I would say It is amazing!! I had such great years and being on the soccer team it was great! Wish I would have taken advantage of being in this school and making so much more of it. But I do not regret going here by far my best school years and memories were made her!

My son goes to Patrick Henry and is enrolled in the Engineering Program so far I have found the school being proactive to students success. When parents get evolved your kids education you can flourish. I have received a lot of resources from teachers during open house, on helping your kids with homework. I also signed up my son to College Club with Roger Jaffe. He helps kids step by step on applying process for UC/CSU COLLEGES and scholarships and a course other Colleges. My son is in a few Clubs AVID in engineering and Robotics , Speech and Debate. He also plays football and has recently enrolled in NROTC. The freshmen three day orientation was very helpful and meeting his counselor during registration was helpful for us. We love it so far. Not to mention this spring the new theater will be open and they are starting construction on a pool.

Its almost as if the people that are supposed to be smarter and superior to us, and the people that are supposed to have authority over us are the ones that are the most incompetent. If a teacher makes an assignment and only a quarter of the class does it, obviously the teacher is doing something wrong. Every morning i wake up on a school day i want to vomit. This school is dirty, the bathrooms smell like a holding tank in central jail, dust flies around all the time, the floors are nasty, there are rats and roaches so in numerous classes of mine there are mouse traps in the corner. Sick of this place and cannot wait to leave.

Some of the teachers here treat us like we are in a labor camp. They do not emphasize the right things. An example of this is writing an English essay, a classmate of mine got a D because he added an extra sentence. This being said, it also has good teachers who make classes so much more fun. It has a very active student body and many out-of school activities such as theater, sports, and band.

I went to Henry for a year and a half and being a student with learning disabilities I was failing and they did nothing about it. I had nothing but trouble with bullying from other students, failing academically, teachers were very rude and didn't understand nor cared about my disability, didn't accommodate me as they were legally mandated to per my IEP, I had an asthma attack on the football field during PE due to the teacher not allowing me to go get my inhaler at the nurse. teachers would shoot kids with water when thy fell asleep in class or throw toys or other objects at them. and I was on the verge of dropping out of high school at 15 or 16 years old. DONT LET YOUR KID GO HERE. IT WILL ONLY HINDER THEM!!!!!!
