Older children went from k-8 and now are telling me about how awful this school is. They peg kids as trouble makers, allow teachers to belittle the students in front of the class. They have teachers without teaching credentials and allow students with actively involved parents to get away with everything. Allowing teachers to teach and favor their own children. Some of these children have been caught looking up girls skirts and drawing pictures and stories of harming their classmates. The school does nothing in response. I have been ignored numerous times and consequently have had to withdraw my youngest child. My children have been attending this school for 13 years so this is especially hurtful.

Unfortuately, we lost our principal last year due to a grave illness. This has been a huge upset to our school community and the faculty has had to take on more than their usual burden. These things make our school stronger and we will continue to build our leadership up.

The St. Anns kids are held to high standards. We all support strong education, and even stronger discipline within our children's behavior and attitude. Although kids will be kids, bullying is definitely NOT tolerated in any form.

I think the smaller class sizes are a huge advantage. We also have teachers who want to be there...they enjoy their jobs (for the most part) and that spirit resonates in each class room! Any of them could take higher paying jobs within the public school system, but they choose to be a part of St. Anns and that speaks volumes!

I am a second-time-around parent at St. Ann Catholic School. My older son went through middle school and now I have two little ones there. You just can't put a price on the things they learn at St. Ann. Small class sizes, dedicated staff and a close knit group of parents who share your values and genuinely care about their children's education and ENVIRONMENT, make St. Ann stand out among other schools. It's not without it's challenges. Tuition is kept at a reasonable level and therefore is not enough to fund each child. We count on fundraising and the help of our parish to help keep our school going!

Amazing school with small class sizes. My children are at least a year ahead compared to other students in surrounding schools. Strong Catholic faith is taught but open and accepting to all faiths. Very affordable and the school treats all students like family. Amazing experience here!

Saint Ann School has a tradition of turning out well behaved students that excel academically. The staff and faculty are committed to the students. The school tuition is lower than national average and relies heavily on donations and fundraising. The school is committed to allowing every child the opportunity to attend and provides tuition assistance when needed. The Parent-Teacher group is very active and is the main source for volunteers and fundraising. Their efforts have replaced the basketball court and goals, helped repaint the playground and school (with other groups), installed privacy screens on the fence, replaced the computers in the computer lab, hosted free breakfasts and lunches, helped replace aging water fountains, bought uniforms, sponsored clubs, installed storage containers, and much more. The school does operate on a shoestring budget compared to public schools, and even larger, more prosperous Parishes, but still churns out excellent students without sacrificing programs other schools have dropped, such as Art, Music, and Computers. Catholic school is not for every student, but I highly recommend at least trying it. We did and we love it!

I am a staff member at Saint Ann School. I am disappointed to read the previous review, especially since it contains inaccurate statements. Everyone has their own opinion. However, the reviewer said she had no idea where money raised went. Parents and volunteers were thanked numerous times for their work to raise money, and it was well publicized and obvious that much of the money was spent on resurfacing the entire basketball court with concrete and purchasing new backboards. Teachers send home letters weekly with information about the curriculum and other events. In regard to fundraising, tuition does not come close to covering costs. Most parents accept fundraising as a part of their service to the school and a way to be involved and meet people. I am very proud of our school and our school community. Keep up the good work, everyone!

our daughter has attended k-2 here and our son k this year at St. Anns. Our children are going elsewhere next year. We have been disappointed in the organization of the school and the lack of communication from and between the teachers. We are also frustrated by what we feel is the excessive amounts of fundraising at this school. Mind you, THIS IS A PRIVATE SCHOOL WITH PAID TUITION, and yet we are constantly nickle and dimed for more and more money but you never see it in improvements to the school. Where is the money going? $25000 was raised for new playground equipment last year and all that was done was to repaint some of the equipment with donated supplies and labor, no new equipment, and when we ask where the money went we never get a straight answer. If I have to say one good thing, it is that parents are very involved and keep the school afloat but don't send your children here unless you simply want to pay for some religion, because you will not get education which is better than the public schools and you will be frustrated by the poor management.

The Principal and teachers are not only the best at what they do but they truly care about the children. They encourage parental involvement and they have Safe Environmemt training to keep our kids safe. It's truly the best school on the planet!
