I moved here on Mc Kinley St. in 2009 with my husband directly West of Palm Ave. & lived here for 13 years..i like the Community even if it has changed since then.
I was never a student at F.H.S., but remember the neighborhood well when attending F.C.C. back in the 70tys.
Although many of my cousins graduated from F.H.S., & some still live in the neighborhood.
"3" became teacher's, one a " Assistant Director" at CSUF. & other younger cousins who
moved " out of state" with " Successful high paying jobs".
From what I have learned they all Loved F.H.S. with " Great Memories " & obviously a " Great Education" that was a " Stepping Stone" to their
" Current Success" with their Careers.

There are great and beautiful teachers, however some teachers are questionable.

There seems to be a clash between what the students need and what the teacher offer.

It was great. I would love to see more diversity in the staff population. More classes that will beneficial to students. Make it an international experiences to student. Teach about the truth of American history. Support DACA students and have conversations on different privileges'.

The teachers I've met all demonstrate a high regard for their profession and the education of their students. They are knowledgeable about their subject matter and are able to explain how my grandson is performing in class.

As a grandparent, I am not aware of how much homework is given. My grandson never complains about too much homework.

Students are shown respect by teachers and administrators. School activities promote integrity and honesty and the importance of fair play.

Honesty,Integrity are not Values the school promotes. As a freshman my son had his cell phone, very nice backpack stolen from him, Furthermore he was not going to be allowed to keep his New backpack on him! The locker was broken into his gym shoes, Gifts that he had taken to give out... Gone!. When he reported it the Office staff treated the Report as Commonplace... nothing further was done or said about the incident. That troubled me each school year we do extensive shopping for the "Perfect backpack chosen from dozens & dozens just to have it snagged by a student with no scruples {Which should be taught in the Home First!] :(

Beautiful Campus!... Mixture of old buildings and New. For the shear volume of students enrolled it runs rather smoothly. Teachers are willing to go the extra mile to help students that are unsteady. As well as clearing the way for students who are ready to excel! Security strives to be on top of each and Every incident!. There is a diverse group of people attending this campus. :) It is much safer than i had heard it was... The only thing i saw that was supposed to be a violation of the dress code was a little too much "Sagging!' students with droopy pants, Offending students are notified they comply the min. Staff gets out of view they revert to the same behavior. By allowing this to continue it sends a wrong message. Its Ok, Or going to be "Overlooked if i break the rules. :(

I have two daughters that attend this Highschool and they say that the classes are challenging and the teachers are intellectual. They have a great afterschool program that assist with everything from homework assistance to SAT prep. I am satisfied with the education my children are receiving at Fresno Highschool.

I am a graduate at this school. I attended this school for 4 years and through those years, I saw many changes in the school, whether it is the cosmetic, academic, or staff changes. What I have to say is that this school is much better than the reputation it has, and this is because I've had friends that transfered from other schools to Fresno High to attend their senior year, and that is what they personally told me. I was also a student in the IB Program that this school offered, and I have to say that the IB Program really help guide my way through high school, and onto a University. Long story short for anyone who is looking to attend this school, or sending their child to this school, the Pro of this school would be the programs that this school offers. There are the rare IB Program, CAHSEE Prep Program, many different Afterschool programs, JROTC (Military) Program, Parent/School meeting programs for all different language, etc. The cons would be the very strict rules school enforces due to the school district. This school makes students feel like they are locked up in prison when they step on campus, which doesn't prep you for college in an open environment.
