Our oldest child started here 3 years ago in preschool and will now be entering kindergarten in the Fall. We love the Christian values, education, community, discipline and structure our children have received from this school!

My son attends their preschool campus and he loves it. The staff is very kind and caring and it’s great to know that he feels safe and loved while I’m at work.

looked at when I was searching through the schools that participated in assistance programs. My son currently attends the preschool and will transition into their elementary school, that’s how much I love this school. The minute I got there it was warm and welcoming you can tell the teachers were very in tune with their students. What sold me was when Mrs.Shelly actually took the time to see how my son adjusted while we were visiting and going over his skills to see where he would better fit into class wise with his skills. He was 3, a Covid kid, and never went to school or day care before. Once I saw the knowledge and care she had for students rather than just sticking them where they can I knew this was the place. Since then I’ve only seen my son flourish verbally, educationally, and physically. They KNOW their student, to the point they know when they’re getting sick even before parents do. They’re quick to call if there are concerns or health worries. She even gave me a topical for my eczema that worked wonders. I love this school, it’s nothing like it was when I was in school. I can see how much my son loves it there and enjoys it. Even summer school they have a great time with amazing activities for the kids. I couldn’t recommend a this place enough.

My son has been going to the Preschool for about 6months and he is doing great. I like the extended hours since sometimes I have to go to work early. He loves the teachers and all his friends. I like how they let them play often in the playground cause kids this age doesn’t need to be sitting all day. The director and the teachers are super nice.

My daughter has attended kindergarten this 2018-19 year at Pines. The homework is clearly outlined on a monthly calendar. The homework reinforces what she learned in class and pushes her a little further each time. Readers are also given to her to help her practice her reading at the level that is most appropriate for her. She is already reading quite well for being slightly past mid-year in kinder. In addition, each grade provides a weekly bible memory verse. Students recite their verses during the weekly school chapels. Students are also gently encouraged to overcome shyness and present school presentations and complete creative projects. As an added bonus, there are after school programs for a small additional cost. In these programs, they can learn activities such as dance, guitar and piano. Students periodically perform recitals for the school.

Teachers periodically give progress reports to parents in order to keep them updated. My daughters kindergarten teacher also teaches out whenever parents have questions. The curriculum is stimulating and appropriate for their grade level. Very importantly, teacher staff enjoys their work and commitment. They have been working at Pines for many years and have a lot of experience.

Teachers take the time to talk to their students. My daughter is in kindergarten. She is given weekly bible memorization. I’ve noticed that at the school recitals, students not only pledge allegiance to the flag, but to the Bible as well. In addition, students recite a verse as a class by grade level at these recitals.

Students are provided with grade-level appropriate curriculum that is challenging. Students are provided with opportunities for projects and presentations. Parents are notified of activities through various means, such as printed calendars, posters, flyers and the Remind Me app. Opportunities for parent involvement in school activities and fund raisers are made available. This allows parents multiple opportunities fir parents to get to know each other and the staff. The school has a very positive climate.

Students in my daughters class are given readers appropriate for their reading level. The school is very affordable, especially for having so many experienced teachers. With that in mind, parents who seek private schools will be more able to afford to pay for tutoring if they feel their child needs it.

Staff works to help build students character. Bullying is not tolerated.

It’s been wonderful. My daughter really loves the staff and all of her friends. She is very happy here, and it is very affordable. She is learning a lot and is progressing quite nicely. The fact that she is happy when I have to drop her off early on my way to work or pick her up a little late is a plus-plus!

I love the school and staff. The free food program is awesome. I wish they would expand and build a middle school so we wouldn't have to leave next year.

Posted: March 12, 2019

The homework system helps ensure my child performs well on tests. I don't feel like it is excessive or a waste of time.

Posted: March 12, 2019

Each teacher has their own unique strength. The staff at this school is older, and the teaching style is traditional. I've found them to be effective with my son.

Posted: March 12, 2019

The staff spends a lot of time reinforcing Christian character.

Posted: March 12, 2019

I found the administration to be involved and available.

Posted: March 12, 2019

I don't know anything about this as my son doesn't require any special services. The school offers low cost tutoring for students who need a little extra help.

Posted: March 12, 2019

Bullying has never been an issue. The playground isn't massive so any issues in the yard would be easily seen by staff.

I have two children who attended Pines. Pines was a place where my children felt loved and accepted. They grew so much spiritually in Christ. When we first visited, we were wonderfully surprised at the beautiful yard. It is well kept, safe, and very unexpected. When you walk in, you'll feel like you are at a special camp and definitely feel welcome. Overall this is a very unique school!!

I am a former student of Pines Christian school . This place is a great place to grow up. I went there from pre-k through 5th, and I loved every minute of it. I would recommend this school to parents who want their children to get an excellent education, where they teach you accountability with love.

Pines Christian School is an "all-in-one" school... My son loves it! I even asked Mr. Troy if he can extend it to 8th grade or even highschool :) Teachers are nice, food/snacks are good and healthy (included in the tuition by the way), and the AM/PM daycare (6am-6pm). Can't beat that :)

Pines Christian is an excellent school! It creates a good foundation for the kids! My son is now in middle school, him and another girl that was in his class since Kindergarten at Pines are the top 2 in his class, getting Principal's awards for getting 4.0+ all throughout the year! they are so advanced that they are taking Math and a couple more subjects above their grade level! This school is surely a great school to build your children's confidence, good values and academic skills!!

What can I say about the Pines? I have 4 children and all have attended since Pre-K. Mrs. Pat is amazing!!!! I thought that the joy of going to school would fade as they got older, but to my amazement, my children gave up Disneyland rather than miss a day in Kindergarten and Miss Shelly.!! Have you ever heard such a thing? The teachers love their kids, and push them gently towards individual success. My two oldest are in highschool now, and they always love to come back and visit their former teachers. The foundation they all have recieved has set them above their peers academically, and their love for God and community is refreshing. An awesome school all around.

As a parent, I was concerned about sending my son to the local overcrowded public school but didn't think we could afford any other option. We found Pines to be a warm and nurturing environment and the tuition is very affordable.

My grandson has been at Pines Christian School for the past four years. He absolutely loves his school. Our experience has been wonderful. The teachers are great educators and the religious teaching has been inspiring. We only has two more years at the Pines before moving on. We pray that the school will be as AWESOME.

I have had six grandchildren all go from kindergarten upwards at the Pines over the past ten years. I love the place and so do my grandkids. What I appreciate is that there is a kind of happy "music" coming from the playgrounds that cheers my soul every time I enter the campus. It is the sound of happy children playing. The homework is sometimes a drag, but I have no complaints about the kid's academic performance. The long day care hours and complimentary lunch program keep me from spending the whole day running around delivering kids and food. The school is the picture of diversity, both in the staff and among the students. It has a kind of international "flavor" that's really difficult to find anywhere else. I would highly recommend the school to anyone, but think it is an absolute God send for working parents.

SuMmEr CaMp!!!! Summer is here! In order to avoid the dreaded "summer slide" (forgetting what you learned during the year), you need to keep those brain cells working! Find a great summer program (like Pines) to enroll your children in. Pines offers morning academic studies, fun activities each afternoon, and field trips every Friday. Come and join the fun!
