Christ the King has been a wonderful fit for our family. My daughter has grown in every wayacademically, socially, and spirituallysince starting here. The environment is warm, structured, and rooted in strong values.

As a former public school educator, I was looking for stability, quality teaching, and a supportive community. Christ the King delivers on all three. The teachers and staff are attentive and skilled, and my daughter loves both her classmates and her older buddies through the schools mentorship program.

The aftercare and after-school clubs are also excellentwell-organized, enriching, and a huge benefit for working families. Were so grateful to be part of this community.

We've had all three of our daughters attend Christ the King. Two of our daughters are now attending High School, and Christ the King has not only prepared them academically, but also socially and spiritually. The community at Christ the King is welcoming, loving, and caring. And the education at CTK is second to none.
Christ the King has been an amazing place for our family, and we can't imagine our lives without it. Thank you to everyone there, who make it feel like a second home to us.

My family has been at Christ The King for 6+ years with two children, and I give the school 5 stars! Having a degree in mathematics, I cannot say enough about the curriculum around math and science. What I am most impressed with is how the kids are exposed to public speaking at such a young age by participating in biography day, mass, class plays- to name a couple opportunities. I wish I had that experience in elementary school, as it prepares students to be comfortable public speakers.

As a dad at the school, I have created numerous memories and friendships by volunteering as a coach in basketball and volleyball. Almost all the kids go out for sports starting in 3rd grade - No kid is ever cut in any of the sports. This allows the children to grow in athletics and learn how to interact with their peers outside the classroom.

My wife is not Catholic and there are other families who attend CTK that are not Catholic. I know families sometimes are concerned about the religious aspect and yes - the school does teach around the Catholic faith, but I believe the families see how just reading about faith does help the children with their reading growth and discussion skills. Truly it allows the kids to learn about values, being reflective, and how to be kind and compassionate towards one another.

Overall, I highly recommend Christ The King as a school for any child in the Denver Metro Area. Come visit and let the school speak for itself your child will love CK preK-8th grade.

Our children have attended CK since they were three years old/Preschool. I cant imagine a better academic environment nor school community than Christ the King! Our kids are very different learners and CKs teachers have lovingly motivated, encouraged, and challenged them to progress at their own pacewhether thats ahead of their age/grade level or reinforcing concepts from earlier. With a more manageable class size, teachers are able to tailor work to each childs ability.
As a parent, in addition to finding a school that laid the foundation for our children to meet their full potential, we also hoped that the school community would provide us with new connections in the community. CKs school community is second to nonefilled with genuine, kind, and supportive parents who are invested in the school, supportive of ALL the kids, and active in the Denver community.
We are so delighted to be a part of CK we have found everything we knew to look for and so much more!

We have 3 kids who have been at Christ the King for many years (all started in Kindergarten, now in 7th, 4th and 2nd grades). I have been impressed with the community, inclusive approach to teaching, the caring of the teachers, and overall opportunities for our children. Our family loves this school and church community and would highly recommend it!

Our experience at Christ the King has been outstanding. Our daughter went on to an academically intense High School and said she felt incredibly prepared for all her classes due to the teachers she had at Christ the King. The sense of community there is wonderful. It is an excellent school and we were lucky to find it!

Christ the King is an amazing school with a warm, friendly, family environment. The teachers are excellent and have been there for many years. The curriculum is superb and my little girls enjoy going to school each day. Besides the regular classes, they also offer music, art, spanish, computer education, and after school activities. My children feel safe, encouraged, motivated and loved. I am so happy we chose Christ the King!

We switched our 4th and 7th graders to this school in 2022, and it was the best decision we've ever made. The academics are challenging (they actually have homework), the teachers are amazing, and the other parents are welcoming. My only regret was not sending the kids here from the beginning.

All three of my children went to Christ the King. They all went on to Regis Jesuit High School and I felt that Christ the King prepared them very well for the academic rigors of Regis. Equally important, my children's closest friends today remain their friends from Christ the King. The teaching and administrative staff were dedicated, warm and compassionate. The teachers were very skilled at teaching. My children still come back to visit some of their former teachers. In hindsight, I also really appreciate the physically and emotionally safe environment the school provides. To top it all off, it was an excellent experience as a parent, and many of my closest friends today are the other parents I met along the way. I love this school and I highly recommend sending your children to this school.

I always said it take a village to raise a kid and I had that for all 3 of my boys at CK.!
The parent support if I needed a logistics solution to getting kids 3 different places or one of the boys needed a safe place to be.
The teacher support to prepare them for their high school and beyond.
Their best friend in college are still their classmates from their preschool days!

We have had our three kids at Christ the King since preschool. Not only have we been welcomed into the most loving, thoughtful and strong community but we have seen our children succeed academically. The school focuses on development of the whole child and the curriculum is rigorous. When my gifted and talented son needed some additional coursework to stay challenged and focused, his teachers have come alongside him and supported him. When our family has faced challenges outside of school with health-related absences and disruptions, we have only been met with support and love. The preschool program especially has been a lifesaver for us working parents with the option of after care as well. I would highly recommend CK to anyone and everyone!

Our son attended CTK from PK 3- 8th Grade. He went on to a DPS High School and enrolled in mostly honors and AP classes. The foundation that was established at CTK is priceless.

We currently have 2 children at CK and will be sending our youngest to preschool there in the fall of 2023. We cannot say enough good things about the school. The community is amazing, the teachers are excellent and the class sizes are small! Both of our children are thriving there.

Our son loves Christ the King and has had the most positive experience. I am an educator so selecting a school for him to thrive (especially as an early learner) was one of the most important choices that I feel I have made so far as a parent. The choice was also a huge stressor. I looked at several sites just like this one to help me know more about schools because it was almost impossible to know or get a tour during COVID. He had the opportunity to attend a larger neighboring Catholic School for part of preschool for 21-22. We chose to tour Christ the King after he would play school and only do attendance, the pledge, and who was getting hot lunch that day. He was in a class of 18 (3 year olds) and I cannot imagine how hard it was for his teacher to provide attention to the learning of each child. We toured Christ the King and he was given a chance to stay for a shadow day. He came home that day and wanted to play school. This time, not only did he welcome me to his class and tell me he was happy I was there but playing school meant making a Valentine card, building a tower with 20 blocks and counting them out, doing a sink or float experiment, and practicing writing his name. This was what he remembered just from one day! We turned in our paperwork the next day and were lucky that he could move over after Spring Break. Ever since our tour, we have felt like family at Christ the King. We do not have family in Denver so feeling that way about a school community is a game changer for us. We are so thankful to have all of the teachers at Christ the King as part of our sons educational journey. The academic rigor is apparent but the emotional intelligence instilled in all of the older students makes me awestruck. My son has a 4th grade buddy who treats him with so much kindness and respect. He seeks her out at school events just for us to say hi to her. Please schedule a tour and a conversation, you will not regret taking the time to connect and see if it is a good fit for your family.

This is an amazing community that prepares kids for life beyond the walls of Christ the King. The faculty is outstanding and truly cares for the kids they serve. Our 2 children have been at Christ the King since Pre -school. They are well prepared each year to enter the next grade. The classroom sizes are small so each child gets the attention they need and are not left behind if they need help and are challenged as they continue to grow academically. Christ the King's core values and commitment to their mission is awesome. We have a very strong knit supportive community and this was more clear than ever during COVID. Our students were in school and continued to excel academically as well as socially with the commitment to in person learning. Students are encouraged to start public speaking as early as kindergarten and this is an invaluable life skill. There are so many opportunities to be involved with choir, sports, drama and community service. We love Christ the King !

Highly Recommend! We have been in this loving community for more than 7 years and have loved every minute. The teachers and administration are world class and truly care about the kids. As parents of two we are so happy to have our kids at Christ the King. Our children are learning and thriving here and it is all thanks to the amazing leadership, teachers and community at CTK. As an educator myself, I know the foundation for learning to be successful and for a quality program resides in the children feeling safe and building quality relationships between the kids, the teachers and staff, and the families. The best relationships are built with trust, mutual respect and love for one another. The teachers, staff and community at Christ the King create such a warm, nurturing place to be and ALWAYS do what is in the best interest of the child. My children started preschool at CTK for these very reasons and why we will stay with CTK through 8th grade. The entire school staff and community at CTK are amazing. "You reap what you sow". CTK teachers/admin/staff will work with your child if you're honest with them about your child's needs. No CTK teachers/admin/staff wants your child to fail or leave CTK. Safety and your child's well being is one of the utmost priority of everyone at CTK.

CTK has a wonderful school counselor who can also help your child.

My child has been there since PreK4. We had the space for PreSchool3 but decided to keep my child at home at that time as an 8am to 3pm/5 days a week school was just too much for our 3 yr old. 2021-22 school year has an option for just half days or just 3 full days in PreSchool3. I wish we had that back then!

***CTK's "Know, Love, Serve, Lead & Grow" helps my child and says a lot about the school/church relationship. The current's principals last reminder in morning's school assembly "If nothing else, God Loves you!" along with the motto also helps me as parent.

**Weekly school mass, Spanish, PE, Art, Music, Computer, after-school enrichment classes and after-school childcare are also what makes CTK great.

*We are thankful for the school uniforms as it makes mornings easier and Ms. Heidi in the front office is just The BEST!

This school needs to be more inclusive and communicate better. Unsupportive staff. They need to update their platforms across the board - right now they are stuck in 1980s. Teachers and support staff need training on social/emotional skill building and inclusivity. If your child has any sensory issues DO NOT go to this school - they will not support your child or you but will treat you poorly. They get subsidies from Denver Public Schools - tax payer dollars - yet they arent applying those funds to provide a more inclusive environment for all types of diversity.

We love the school. We have a student with differences, including giftedness as well as challenges, and another without. They have both had an extremely positive experience. Teachers care about every student. The school principal is new (been here 2 years) and has brought so much good energy to the role. He knows and engages with all the students, and always listens and responds thoughtfully to parental concerns, big or small. There are several teachers who have been there for decades, as well as newer ones. We like the balance. I love that the school focuses on growing the whole student, emphasizing character development, community, as well as good academics. Teachers are willing to provide challenge opportunities for students who are ahead of the curve. I wish PE was a bit less rigid, especially for younger grades, and I think there could be more life in the music department, which is the reason I am not scoring the teachers 5/5. However, there are some superstar teachers in the homerooms! Overall, a really great place and a close-knit community. In non-Covid times, lots of fun events and extracurricular activities offered as well. Also more diverse than might be expected for this neighborhood and the fact it is private!

I wholeheartedly recommend CK for families that are you looking for an excellent education. I am impressed by the teachers, as they hold my children to a high standard. The teachers are very supportive and clearly care about every students development. My children are thriving in this environment and I know the education they are receiving at CK, will help them succeed in high school and beyond. In addition to strong academics, CK develops strong character in their students such as kindness, respect, integrity, and responsibility. The yearly planners are excellent in keeping kids on top of their homework- as well as parents. We can easily know where to look to see the assignments for the night. Homework completion is a responsibility they teach to children right from the start.

This is our 3rd year at CTK and every teacher genuinely cares for my children. Our conferences make that care evident- they dont just hand a paper to you with generic information. They know your child from every other child and they really show how invested they are by the feedback they give. My oldest was having some behavior issues and his teacher not only notified us but worked closely with us to create and implement a plan which ultimately was very effective.

My children are living examples of this. They have grown so much since being at CTK and its amazing to see them become functional in society. They do so much work interacting with other grade levels so that they can understand kids of all ages and how to act with each group and respect each group.

I am so lucky that our family found Christ the King. I was hesitant when our son first started Christ the King over 6 years ago, mostly because I was not a product of catholic schools and was not raised Catholic. I can honestly say we found not only a place for our 2 children but a place for our family. Our children are thriving both academically and socially. I was concerned about my daughter and her reading and the moment I mentioned it to our 1st grade teacher, she offered to work with her after school. My children currently have the best teachers I think a parent could ask for - they want to go to school, they talk about school and their teachers. A small school like CK can have its challenges but for me knowing all the parents and kids in my child's class and the surrounding classes is such a comfort, I know my children are being raised by "a village" and I couldn't be happier knowing I have families around me who have similar values and care about my children and our entire family. Best decision we ever made and we are looking forward to having our children staying until they graduate from 8th grade at Christ the King.

I have three children currently attending Christ the King. They have all attended the school since Preschool and we have been at the school for 7 years. Our Principal, Bernadette Hensen, has been a wonderful and amazing addition to our school. I have been impressed with her leadership, knowledge, and her love for the children and our school. She is always willing to listen and deals with issues immediately and directly. While every school has its share of social and academic challenges, what I ve been most impressed with is the approachability of teachers and Principal Hensen and their willingness to work together towards solutions. It has always been a collaborative effort to ensure my children are challenged and thriving. I am so thankful that my children are in such a nurturing, safe environment.

I have 3 kids currently at Christ the King (PK, 4th and 7th). I can honestly say I love this school. The classes are moderate sized 20-26 so the kids get a ton of attention. The academics are excellent. The students are well rounded (they teach, music, art, computer, spanish etc). The faculty is amazing and the kids are really kind and friendly. My kids have consistently scored way above grade level on standardized tests. The community of parents in really wonderful. I would highly recommend our school.

Christ the King is a place where children learn to care about each other and take great pride in who they are. Lead by our principal Ms. Hensen our school continues to get better and better year after year. As a parent of two daughters I feel the values my girls are learning through, hard work and a very caring community will provide them the tools they need to grow up to be strong, confident, successful, hard working young women. The close community has a very strong impact on the children who attend Christ the King. They know their principal, teachers, Father Dan, and all the other parent volunteers truly want to see them succeed and thrive.

Our daughter didn't progress in reading all year long. Two kids were pulled mid year from our class alone and the 6th grade is down to less than 15 kids. The teacher is unapproachable and has anger that comes out toward the children. That all speaks volumes. We are so disappointed but know that our daughter deserves better.

Christ the King has changed so much in the last few years and it saddens us to see the decline in enrollment and lack of change on the part of the administration. Our daughter tested at the same reading level at the beginning and the end of the year meaning that she didn't progress at all. The teacher was very unapproachable. Two kids were pulled mid year which speaks volumes.

As a parent of two kIds in this school, I cannot say enough about Christ the King. Not only is the education fabulous, but the level of individual attention each child receives from the teachers and school administrators is remarkable. My favorite aspect of this school is the focus on character development and individual self-confidence. My nine year old always tells me that Christ the King is a part of who she is as a person, and that makes me very proud. I think our decision to send our kids to this school was one of the best decision we've made as parents.

As a parent, and former educator, I can not say enough great things about Christ the King. My husband and I, have been thoroughly pleased with our decision to enroll our children here. The staff is so warm and caring- they nurture the children spiritually and emotionally, and they work hard to challenge them academically. The teachers, staff, parents, and students are like a family, and in an environment like CtK's, children thrive. There are so many opportunities to speak in front of a large group (in class, at mass, at assemblies, etc.), that our children have no fear of public speaking. This is a direct result of their comfort level in such a caring environment, as well as one of the many ways that students are challenged. Our new principal has been amazing,and I couldn't be happier with Fr. Daniel's choice to lead the school. This school is headed in the right direction and I can't wait to see this wonderful school do even better things for my children.

We are in our 4th year at Christ the King, and currently have 3 children enrolled. We have been more than pleased with the school and are thrilled with the new principal- Bernadette Hensen. The teachers are caring, dedicated, and knowledgeable. The students are given every opportunity to learn, and are offered "specials" (art, music, Spanish, computers, and P.E.) twice a week. While having one class per grade may seem insulated, my children don't feel that way. In fact, the way the classes are grouped for recesses, allow the students to play with two other grades (ie. Kinder, 1st, and 2nd, then 3rd, 4th, and 5th, and finally the middle school) have recess with one another. My children feel like they are a part of a family, and they are! Oh, they also have "Caring Communities" which meet once or twice a month, and they meet with the same group of students, made up of students in each grade, and they go over life skills such as anti-bullying techniques, faith based activities, etc.

One of our children graduated from CTK in 2011. We still have a child in the school. Overall we are very impressed by the quality of education and academics and the sense of community. For us it was very important that the school reinforces the values we teach at home. I particularly liked the specials art, music and spanish. We would highly recommend this school.

Our first year has been great. There is a strong sense of community,our children love their teachers and it is a caring environment. Christ the King teaches kindness and respect in addition to bringing in excellent curriculum and a wide variety of enrichment courses. The families were very welcoming. With so many school choices in the area, we made the right choice for our family.

Two years ago we transferred our daughter from the public school system to Christ the King. We were concerned about established cliques; she was instead embraced and integrated quickly. The parents, students and staff have welcomed our daughter and us into the community. The teachers are excellent and students test well above grade average. The leadership at the school is excellent. We feel fortunate that our daughter is receiving an amazing education in such a great community of students, parents and staff.

This school was the worst and always will be. I've been in this school for all my life and it was fun until the old principal left. Now its straight up terrible. Only the middle school teachers: SS teacher and Science teachers actually care for the students. Otherwise they don't care if you flunk. The P.E teacher thinks this is some kind of Military Boot Camp, but guess what IT ISN'T. The P.E teacher should think before he says something. Lots of parents complain to him, but of course he doesn't care. Thank God I'm leaving this year. I wish I left last year though so I can get away from here. This was my parents biggest mistake, but they don't see it because us students don't complain about it. Also the new principal doesn't punish the right students. Although my favorite year there was in 5th grade. Best time of my life otherwise I would've moved schools a long time ago.
