UCP Charter Schools has a wonderful mission to teach, serve, and support all students.
Student's can receive all types of therapies, OT, PT, SLP, ABA and services IEP, 504, and hospital homebound.
Their ratio in classrooms is unmatched by any public or private schools. They have 3 adults in each classroom to support students.
You won't find a school that support students more.
If you are looking for early childhood interventions, UCP BECA, UCP West Orange, and UCP Seminole are for you.
If you are looking for early childhood behavior interventions UCP EOPA is for you.

I would definitely recommend this campus! The teachers really work together from infants through pre-K to bridge learning.

UCP East (Bailes Campus) has been absolutely amazing! It is an inclusion environment and my son has made such an improvement with his social, learning, and behavior skills. They go above and beyond to make sure you're kids have all the tools they need and a supportive learning environment. We should have made the switch sooner!

UCP Bailes is an amazing school. To call it just a school is an injustice. UCP Bailes is a community and family. The teachers, staff, and administrators are wonderful to work with whether your child is struggling or exceling. The environment is such that each child gets the individualized attention and support he/she needs to succeed. As each child advances in his/her skillset, they are allowed to continue to grow at a pace that makes sense for each of them. Our family has been with the school for over 7 years; we started in the infant room and have never considered leaving. The inclusion model that is incorporated helps each child learn empathy, compassion, friendship, integrity, hard work, and all the academic skills too. Too often in the world today we miss the value and enrichment we can gain from others because they don't look like us, or they don't sound like us, or they don't walk like us, or in the other myriad ways we are different. It is important to my husband and I that we teach our children that all people are wonderful, valuable, and unique. We felt that UCP would be a place of kindness and diversity and would provide our children the chance to see the world in an inclusive way. UCP Bailes has done all that and more. Our children have not just be taken care of and educated here; they have been loved.

this is my 4th year that my kids have gone to UCP-Bailes. Everytime there is a break from school, my kids ask everyday "When do we go back to school?!" That alone tells me what a great school we are sending our kids to! The teachers are phenomenal, I can tell they work hard by looking at how and what my kids are learning. I am so grateful for everything the teachers have done for my kids!

I absolutelly LOVE this school. My two other children went to public schools and this is the first I have sent to a charter. I am thrilled at the level of his learning. He learned a lot. The staff has been helpful and very willing to work with you. I love the compassion that he is learning to have with children with special needs.

If you have questions ask them and they will gladly answer them. But if you don't ask they can't be answered. The teachers really get to know the kids and care about their educational well being as well as their overall well being. The kids really respond well to the teachers and their special teaching techniques.

I have two children that attend Bailes and could not be happier. My children all receive individualized education based upon exactly where they are and not just blanket learning. The teachers all genuinely care about each student and want them all to succeed. It is just a dramatic difference compared to the elementary school we were zoned for. If I were to have kept my son in the neighborhood elementary school he was going to be in ESE all day with only time with typical peers when he was participating in specials. Here at Bailes he integrates with typical peers all day and has made so much progress.

My children have gone through the infant, toddler, and preschool departments and I can't say enough about how wonderful our experience has been. The teachers are phenomenal in each department and classroom. The curriculum far exceeds anything you fill find in corporate daycare, as well as the required credentials for teachers. The student/teacher ratio and class size is also great. I highly recommend this school!

They have a " house system" that goes through out k-5 and the teachers and staff and whenever kids are extra nice, helpful, wonderful they get a ticket which puts them to be able to potentially win something. It really encourages the kids to look out for one another and encourages them to be kind and respectful.

My 8 yr. old has been attending UCP Bailes just before he turned 3 and we have loved it. Now, I have a 4 yr. old who is in pre-k there and and a 15 month old in older infant and they are having a great time. The way the learning environment is set up is very outside the box and keeps the kids moving and learning in a fun way. The teacher to student ratio is great. My kids love it and I love to volunteer too. It's a great school for kids with and without disabilities.

Because they falsify paperwork to their Benefit. They made up stories saying I was disrupting class in order to keep me from walking my kids to class. When there is supposed to be an open door policy.

My son has cerebral palsy he's in a wheelchair but can take steps with assistance and crawl also. They leave him in his chair all day. My son can't talk so they forget to change his diaper on time and push him to the corner if he falls asleep even though they have documents stating he has seizures in his sleep. They've gotten tired of me catching them not doing their job and now have banned me from walking to drop and pick up my sons for no reason and claim they will follow thru with trespassing paperwork if I walk them to class. I don't ask for special treatment just the attention he needs! He has cerebral palsy for gods sake they are called united cerebral palsy! Think twice before enrolling!

School has a big bullying problem. Administration and (some) teachers do not take physical threats seriously, allowing the threats to continue, even after it's brought to their attention. I love that the school includes both "typical" and special needs children, but the issue of older, "typical" children bullying special needs children needs to be taken seriously and stop. There is a lot of turnaround with teachers, which is a shame. Some teachers in this school are simply amazing, while others treat the children in a way that leaves me wondering whether they even have ESE experience. This started out as a good school, the potential was great. They seem to be heading in a different direction, and I would suggest doing research and using caution before sending a child here, especially a special needs child.

I have a child that attends this school and he is not disabled nor does he have a learning disability. He does very well and is kind the other children. He has learned to appreciate how all people are different and respect all people.

There is a big bullying problem in the school . It has been reported and little is done about. I understand that there are children at the school with social skills issues due to their learning disorder but some of the more capable children bully the less capable children.

I have three children at this school. They do project-based learning, so kids learn the way that the world really works instead of just doing worksheets all the time. The children move from class to class based on their skill-level, so for example if they are in 2/3, they can move around between the three 2/3 classrooms to go to the correct group to fit their levels. They also accommodate gifted children pretty well - my son goes to the technology lab for advanced math so he is challenged. I also like how the kids are with special needs children - now if they see someone who is in a wheel chair, it's no big deal to them because they are around that every day. The teachers send frequent e-mails to let parents know what fundraisers are going on or what field trips and events are coming up. Also, for 2015-2016 school year, the school has received a technology grant, so they will be utilizing technology (iPads) to help teach the children. I am very interested to see how this affects the children's learning. Overall, I am very grateful that my children have this school to attend and that they care so much about helping my children succeed.

Building is new, clean and spacious--yes. What is concerning is the constant teacher turnaround. It not only occurs yearly, but teachers often decide to leave two months into the school year or mid-year. The administrators seem nice, when you see them. But that is another issue: You never see the administrator/'principal' or 'assistant principal'. You are left to wonder who exactly runs the school. There is nearly zero communication between home and school. Sadly, it is a school with so much potential, if the administrators would take charge and be present.

I send my two typically developed grade school children to Bailes because it is an excellent school. There is a 6:1 classroom ratio, if not better due to the number of college students who intern there, and my children receive an education that is tailored to their individual strengths and needs. The teachers love their students and the administration is a great team. No school is perfect, I'm sure if you looked hard enough you could find fault in any school, but this school meets and exceeds our family's expectations for our childrens' education. My only complaint is that it does not include middle school grades. We have no idea how we are going to find a middle school as great as Bailes!

This school is all about appearances. 1) Not all therapies are actually provided, and some that are provided are poorly administered or not carried out at all. Most therapists sit down next to the teachers' assistants and make notes (or at least that's what they seem to be doing) and that's it. How do managers keep track of the quality and number of therapy sessions? Are they cooking the books? What is Medicaid doing about this issue? 2) Likewise, some teachers don't interact with the kids. They just sit down or hang around while the assistants follow their orders. Teachers are supposed to direct, to guide, but these act more like sitting cows than professionals or mothers. 3) Now, the facilities seem great. However, sometimes the stench to sewage in the interior is almost unbearable. You see, in the lot next to this location there is a huge sewage tank as tall as the structure of the UCP building, but nobody says or does anything about it! Also, just take a look at the restrooms! If you want to enroll your kid in UCP, think twice before doing so, and if you feel privileged because your child is already there, then open your eyes wide and act in consequence.
