From the moment I walked into Citrus Park Elementary, I was warmly welcomed and offered a tour, which gave me a strong sense of the supportive and dedicated environment the school provides. Having visited several other schools in the area, including my zoned school where I was ignored and given incorrect information, Citrus Park Elementary stands out as the best. Despite challenges with other schools, I found Citrus Park to be responsive, helpful, and truly committed to my childrens success. Both my son and daughter are happy to attend this school. My son, who has ADHD and Level 2 Autism, has especially benefited from the schools supportive environment. By staying involved and providing the school with all the necessary information, weve seen tremendous progress. When my son started kindergarten, I immediately noticed positive changes in him. Citrus Park Elementary has been a transformative experience for our family, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nurturing, inclusive, and professional school.

Its disheartening to see 1-star reviews from 2012 still impacting the perception of Citrus Park Elementary. Everyone deserves a second chance, and the school has seen many positive changes since then. Relying on old reviews can be misleading and doesnt reflect the schools current environment. Over the past decade, Citrus Park Elementary has undergone significant improvements, with new faculty and staff who are dedicated to fostering a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for all students. Based on my own experiences, I can confidently attest to the professionalism, care, and commitment displayed by the office staff, teachers, and leadership. Judging the school based on outdated reviews is unfair, as the team is working diligently to provide the best possible experience for every child. The positive changes made over the years are a clear reflection of their efforts.

A++ My 4 children call Citrus Park Elementary school the best school ever. Administration, Teachers, and staff have gone above and beyond to help all children succeed. I started as a parent volunteer, para I, Para II, then Paraprofessional of the year 2022- 2023, and now Assistant Principal Secretary. One small act can change a life. CPE is truly a hidden gem as another review mentioned. It has a great administration, teachers, PTA, and student group. There are a lot more people choosing in and its really grown and developed into a great little school.

My son has been going to CPE the past 3 years. I cannot rave about this hidden gem. The teachers have been there for many years because of the solid foundation of the school. The administrators are always striving to reach high expectations for the students and its staff.

No they do not help students with disabilities. They have way too many kids in a classroom with not enough qualified teachers and aides. Many kids are non verbal or have other issues and these teachers are not trained well enough to handle that many kids in one classroom......and still provide them a good education.

They have no clue how your child's day was.....and they are not up to date on what they can and can't do when it comes to your child. They are not up to date on the latest programs either

Not good at all for Autistic children! Find another school where the classes are smaller and they know how to handle and educate your child.

Our daughter's teacher took a noticeable interest in her students while our son's teacher showed little to no interest. Common complaints we received from our son was that she ignored him a lot and ignored handling classroom disruptions. For the parent teacher conferance she was unprepared and had forgotten that she made the appointment with us.

I think there are a lot of kids with special needs that attend here. Any time I've seen those classes the teachers are always positive and upbeat trying to motivate the kids.

They have a new Principal who I see out and about the campus whenever I'm there. He stops to always address me when we pass and I see him always interacting in a positive manner with the children.

They are using something called "eagle bucks" that the children earn for acts of kindness or being helpful as a way to reinforce the positive behaviors. The bucks can be used for various rewards.

My daughter has been attending Citrus Park since kindergarten and is now in the fourth grade. Her teachers have been a blessing, every single one of them. The new Principal seems to be working on making a school culture an even more positive experience for the children.

The are a few teachers here that genuinely care for their students and they are wonderful theachers, however, the majority are sub par.

I'm a grandparent who had two daughters that attended this school 20 years ago, now 2 grandchildren attend Citrus Park. I believe this school was better about 5 years ago, but is awful now. I'm begging my girls to pull my grandchildren OUT! I would gladly quit my job and home school them. The bullying...the teachers attitudes...the unhelpful staff...and poor release protocol all add to my frustration.

This used to be a great school. My son has been here for a couple of years. New staff is not friendly or helpful. Everyone in office is rude. They treat volunteers bad and do not appreciate them at all. The teachers all have attitude problems and are mean and scream at the kids. The teachers all talk trash about each other. Just a miserable place.

my son went to Citrus Park Elementary for a few years. It started off okay. Now with new faculty , it has changed. The office staff is extremely rude, the teachers fight amongst themselves. The teachers talk about each other in front of the kids. They scream and put their fingers in the kids faces. The yell and humiliate the kids in front of their peers . If their was a problem with my son, the principal just blew it off. she didn't have any concern with my issues. Volunteers are talked about and not appreciated at all. Over all, I will be glad when my son is out of this school. Bad , rude staff. Bad leadership, mean teachers.

My child suffers from ADHD and ODD. Citrus Park stepped up to help him after Claywell could not. I applaud their efforts in helping my child learn better ways to deal with his set-backs and still keep him above average in curriculum. Very Pleased.

Dont know much about the elementary side of this school. I do know that they have many subpar teachers in the middle to high school grades. Too many new or 1st year teachers, because the previous ones were let go. A principal who will remain nameless, who does not care about the parents. Only interest is the money$$$$ I am not returning to this school. IMHO
