As a parent, I wanted this school to succeed because there are so few options for students with dyslexia. Unfortunately, my experience was deeply disappointing.

The school's public image emphasizes community, celebrations, and positive messaging, but I found far less attention given to the quality of the educational experience. Leadership often felt absent. The principal appeared disengaged, the Head of School was rarely available, emails often went unanswered, and parents were discouraged from communicating by phone. When concerns were raised, I left conversations feeling my child was not the priority. Rather than partnering with families to solve problems, raising concerns often created tension.

Academically, I expected much more for the tuition we paid. There were no meaningful electives, and students sometimes spent large portions of the afternoon doing "free draw." I found most of the handouts online.

The most common response I hear from other parents is, "The school is okay, but there aren't many alternatives." That is a heartbreaking reason to accept mediocrity.

I am happy with this school! It is very customized to the individual child.

This is our granddaughters second year at Depaul. She is so happy, confident and loved there. All the instructors do a great job and she has learned so much. The students are provided every opportunity to grow and thrive. Was the best school choice for her. Thank you.
