I don't know everything going on, but my child comes home crying every day about her new second grade teacher. The teacher is late to school often or does not show up at all! He never takes the kids to recess and has missed other specials. I think that is illegal!? My child says all they do is watch videos. Already some others have requested new teachers. The school better fix this! Clearly they don't care about thier students well being!

Several issues when considering employment for this school.
1. lack of diversity in the teaching staff
2. Lack of Minority Male teachers
3. The poor reviews of the school since 2015
4. A former employee stated a lack of integrity among the administration.

These educators strive to give these children the best education they can! The front office staff is very friendly and welcoming and the Vice Principal and Principal are so kind! They go above and beyond to help their teachers and students achieve their goals.

My son attended this school for the first time as a 6th grader. It was an okay experience but had an issue while he was on safety patroll. Edwards could not provide me with a legitimate reason for my son's dismissal from safety patroll. They did not even provide him with an award at the end of the year for participating. He dedicated his time and full effort in this program at least you could have had the dignity to give him an award for safety patroll. He participated all year up until the last two weeks when you came up with a bogus excuse to dismiss him. There is racism at this school!! My son was a great student fortunately he only had to do a year at this school. Edwards favor other races than her own ethnicity!!!

If there was a zero rating for this school I would pick that 0 numerous times. This school is more then a disappointment. My child has been discriminated against which could turn into a racist problem, not to mention the staff and school has treated my child different to where my child hated going to school but she loves to read. I agree with the other reviews 100% if you ever need something done by the school you have to continue to follow up but the problem falls back on the school. The staff does not care for my child well being. They failed my child but according to her state testing she on time with her learning skills. It took a whole year to het that testing done for an IEP in which I had to follow up almost everyday. The front office in very unprofessional they want to argue with the parents and they lie all the time. My child is happy and out of that school. I am fiighting for rights from this school for other kids and parents without a voice. DO NOT ALLOW YOUR CHILD TO GO THERE IF YOU REALLY CARE FOR THEIR EDUCATION AND WELL BEING.

The teachers and staff have done everything they can to keep my kid from class ... and he just started kindergareten ,,, Now they are forcing me to take him to another school all together so they dont have to deal with him

This school was very disappointing. The teachers do not individualize the student's learning and every child has to conform to the student who needs the most assistance. End of the year ceremonies were in jeopardy as "the students who do not receive awards may feel bad." At a school event one evening, parents were smoking in the hallways and were very rude during the children's performance to the point the children could not be heard. This behavior was tolerated by administration. I am relieved my children will no longer have to attend this school.

I have 2 kids that currently attend this school. My daughter is in1st grade, my son is in 5th grade. I must say I am very disappointed in this school. There aren't enough character space for me to list all my disappointed. The experience my family and I have of this school since our kids started going here last year 2012 hasn't been a good one. The only positive thing I can say is that the assistant principal is great. Anytime I had a concern I always would speak to her instead of the principal. She in my opinion handled my concerns and I appreciated that. But that is not enough for my kids to attend next school year. So they will not return back to S.Bryan Jennings Elementary.
