I would rate my experience at the Florida Youth Challenge, Exceptional. As a former employee and because of the Covid-19 epidemic and family situation, I would have retired. I miss the Challenge everyday and thank God for the opportunity to serve the students at the Florida Youth Challenge.

My son graduated in 2013 and is active military..my daughter will enroll 2020. This is a great alternative learning option for military or JROTC students who wish to pursue a military career.

My son is attending FLYCA Class 27 and I could not be more proud of our decision to withdraw him from the high school he was attending in Orange County to enroll him at FLYCA. The turn around is amazing!! Jack is more confident and self-disciplined. His TABE and ASVAB scores have shown significant increases during his time at FLYCA. Jack, like many other students, was seeking a challenge at his prior high school that the school refused to meet and therefore, Jack stayed in trouble. The staff at FLYCA is dedicated and not afraid to meet the challenges that these young men and women are seeking. The GED that Jack will EARN from FLYCA is worth far more than ten high school diplomas from his prior high school because he has actually had to work for the GED. FLYCA is worth more than this parent could ever put into words and I am soooo thankful they chose to give my son the opportunity to attend their Academy. Thank you FLYCA and may God continue to bless the work you are doing with our youth!!

Florida Youth Challenge Academy- When I called to see if I could get my son into this school, I was impressed at how efficiently and enthusiastically my questions were answered, and I appreciated that the one I spoke to made a point to help me find out if my son could be accepted . It was pointed, quick and I felt very supported by the one I spoke to, helped me to understand what this school was about and how it could benefit us.

FLYCA is a great school they change my son life, is you shield willing to change they will help him, my before don't like it read, was at drugs,fail school, was shilling with the wrong people wow now he got his H'S diploma, ready to go college , no drugs he knows what he want if you want you young child to change this is the right place I am a happy mom thank you Flyca mama contents mi hijo regreso.

Beware, Orientation is a joke n full of lies. They tell u that your child will b tested the day of admission n that never happened. THey test cadets whenever they feel like after they r there if they fail the drug they r signaled out n they will find a reason 2 kick ur child out the program. They will call u when your child gets kicked out, demand that u pick your child right then there or they threaten u with DCF. W/O any notification they will put your child on a bus w/o telling u anything, better make sure ur child is smart enough 2 ask some1 to borrow their cell phone so he can let you know that he needs 2 be pick up at a bus stop. When you call the school the directors act like they r not aware of what happened and play the dumb role u mean to tell me that no1 called u 2 inform u that ur child is on his way home. The best part is if your child taking any medications forget abt getting those b/c they don't even think about that. Communication is very poor between depart. n u call to question what happen no1 seems to know. Other than that the main director is all about a check from the state for these troubled teens which is something they don't tell. DONT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE

I myself went to FLYCA and I can honestly say it has made me a better person! It showed me who I was, broke through that shell and let me face all my fears, but not alone. Thank you FLYCA! Class 18!
