The administration at this school has handled matters in a way that feels unprofessional, concerning, and inconsistent with the level of neutrality and discretion parents should be able to expect from school leadership. In my view, the tone and culture appear to reflect poor judgment from leadership, including favoritism and inappropriate assumptions about parents. I am deeply disappointed by how this has been handled and believe the Bay District School Board and Superintendent McQueen should take these concerns seriously.

My son has only been attending Lynn Haven Elementary for one year, so I can only provide my experience based off of that short time! That being said, my son has truly enjoyed attending this school, and he absolutely adores his teacher. Up until the 1st grade, he had always enjoyed going to school, and then he kind of lost the desire to want to go last year. He said that school was boring, they just did worksheets all day, and he only really enjoyed recess and gym. That really broke my heart for him! We had lived in North Carolina at the time.
Fast forward to his 2nd grade year here at Lynn Haven, and we honestly couldnt be happier! He has his spark back and I am so truly grateful for that! We are a military family, and the school provides all kinds of extra support to ensure that my son integrates well, which really means a lot to us. They even have a special day set aside to recognize military children! All in all, it really has been an excellent experience!

Be very careful leaving you children at this school with Stacie Anderson. she is a not someone who should be allowed to be around children.

I hated this school! I was a high risk pregnancy and had no way to get my child to and from the school and was 2 and a half miles away and the teacher got rude with me and told me because she was capable of walking this far in her pregnancy I should be too. Then the school called the police on me and acting like I was trying to kidnap my child because they lost the enrollment paperwork I filled out. This school is a mess! My child was not aloud to go on any field trips and was bullied frequently and the staff did nothing about it but punished her for having to defend herself. Noone watches the kids during recess and they do whatever. Good luck if you are zoned for here. Feed your child at home I took my daughter in the first day stood in line with her and by the time she got her tray the bell rung and they made her throw it away so she didn't get to eat but 3 bites of cereal.

If you want your child or children to get bullied or get in trouble fast then this is the school for you if your child is bad they miss recess and lunch time with peers they locked in a room with only work they get in trouble for so much little thing it's insane I do NOT recommend this school

Are you looking for a school that will low key neglect your children!? Look no further! Here at Lynn haven elementary the staff and the principal will completely ignore your children's and your concerns and issues, allow other students to harm your kids multiple times, then when you give your child the okay to defend themselves if needed they will say your child is the problem. As well as taking away what Little basic human rights they do have by taking away "bathroom privileges" as discipline for extended amounts of time each day for over a month without asking or even mentioning it to you. Then they will blame your child for these issues and tell you that" they aren't sure what they are supposed to accomplish" by having a sit down meeting with you and said child. There is no point in speaking with the new principal to correct any type of issue as she is on the most ultimate power trip and has no urge to correct issues or ensure your child's health and safety. If this is what you have been looking for, then this is the perfect place for you! If not REMOVE your children ASAP!

I give a 5 stars for all the kind and friendly people working there. BUT in my opinion they should think more to nurturing the mind of the children instead the body. From the first day of school, the teachers ask to send in healthy snacks. All is coming from the parents is fattening food. Every party is filled with cupcakes, donuts, cookies.... Other States only allow the lunchbox for your kids, no food can be shared with other child. When two years ago we enter this school, the rating was 8 ....now is 5

This is a terrific school! The 4th of my 5 grandchildren starting K this year and we are so excited for her. ALWAYS a warm smile from even the support staff. It's the epitome of the "hometown school"!
