Graduated in 2019. Way better than keys gate which I transferred from. But atmosphere here was very toxic. Rude teachers. A lot of characters at this school. Lunch was fantastic.

My son is a junior at HSHS and he is in honor classes and dual enrollment classes. He is doing great and the teachers I have come across have been excellent. They are concerned for the kids education, they call you and schedule parent/student/teacher conferences if they feel they need to, to make sure your child stays on track. My son has been there since he was a freshman and I absolutely love the school. No school is perfect, but the principal, staff and the teachers have done a great job in turning this school around. I am proud to say my son is a Bronco. He loves his school, his teachers, and his friends. Just an extra little note: This school does prepare you for college despite what others have commented on here. My son has attended college fairs with the school, and his teachers have more than emphasized how important it is to prepare for college. They don't teach just for the kids to pass state exams, they teach for the kids to learn.

Sadly, I am a student who is currently enrolled at HSHS. The teachers are highly unprofessional, and the students are practically illiterate! Coming here all the way from upstate New York, I'll have to say that there is a tremendous decline in education here compared to where I'm from. Ever since I've moved down here, I haven't met ONE single kid who can read cursive! There's kids in my school who've never even read chapter books! Almost everyone here as repeated a grade or two, and have very poor hygiene. I've heard nothing but negative remarks regarding Florida's educational system, and I'll have to agree. The administrators focus way too much on discipline and not enough on education. The curriculum here is very poor. While I'm here learning about nouns and verbs, my friends in New York are taking advanced calculus! The school's teachers and administrators will only prepare you for upcoming state tests, and never for anything important like, say, college?! When people ask me what school I attend, I am HIGHLY ashamed to say that I attend HSHS. IF YOU REALLY LOVE YOUR CHILDREN, DON'T SEND THEM HERE!!!

I love HSHS , because of the atmosphere. Everyone think's that HSHS is such a terrible school, when it really is not. You get a great education, and also it feels like home when you first arrive to the school. HSHS should be acknowledge for the hard work that the staff & students, are doing to change everybody's perspective on Homestead Senior High.

I am a student at homestead senior and it's not really a bad school what people say it is. The only thing that is bad is that there is teachers who really don't want to teach us. They don't even try. Yes there is teachers who do try and they do a good jop at it. But other than that homestead senior high is really a great school.
